It was within walking distance of the tube. There were several great pubs close by. We were able to check in early which was very convenient and helpful as we had our luggage in tow. Staff was very kind and courteous.

Manager was very pleasant, and I sense he knows he has the dubious honor of managing a declining hotel. Location is decent, towards the west end of Edinburgh, a short taxi or Uber ride or a good long walk to things of note like food and drink.

Great location, especially for where we wanted to go (concert at Ethiad stadium), also quick to walk into main city centre. Checking in and out was easy, car park was safe and secure and located at the back of the hotel.Very quiet.

Perfect location. Excellent check in experience. We were advised that there would be parties taking place, so to expect some noise. Dog was admitted free of charge and for an old traditional hotel the fixtures and fittings are in excellent condition

Birmingham Britannia Hotel is opposite Birmingham New Street Station. The only good thing about this hotel was its location. It was loud, hot, and didn't have in-room wifi. Staff was nice enough, but clearly overworked and used to doing damage control in this truly scary, old hotel.
