Birmingham Britannia Hotel is opposite Birmingham New Street Station. Guest Rooms at the Britannia Birmingham feature flat screen TVs, dressing tables and an private bathroom with shower, there is also complimentary tea/coffee making facilities. The Bullring Shopping Center and Victoria Square are both within a 5-minute walk from the hotel. The Sea Life & LEGOLAND Discovery Center are under half a mile from the Britannia Birmingham. The hotel does not accept any cash payments.

The only good thing about this hotel was its location. It was loud, hot, and didn't have in-room wifi. Staff was nice enough, but clearly overworked and used to doing damage control in this truly scary, old hotel.
Convenient location and reasonable room price.

Cons -

The sink in our room fell out of the counter immediately. Maint. fixed it, but we weren't offered a new room. Bathroom smelt of piss. Bed nothing but springs. HOT, no AC. Noisy. No WIFI in rooms, only common areas. Toilet didn't flush well. OLD.
Long check-in delay, even with confirmation in hand. No Wifi in guest room, only in public areas where there were still logon issues. Poor cleanliness standards, including fecal matter on toilet seat - gross! Staff forgot critical 4:30 wake up call.
