The rooms are a nice size and everything was clean!
Really close to the venue we were attending (Luther Burbank) and the cleaning staff was so personable! I’ve stayed in lesser rooms and paid way more. We’re now looking at other artists to see at Luther Burbank because we found a great place stay.

The whole operation was more "together" than I'd expected.
Nothing, worse stay of my life, the staff was rude and disrespectful, and the general manager was so disrespectful and made me so upset I cried straight for 3 hours?

Hotel staff is very helpful, we had to keep some cooler packs frozen and while there was no freezer section to our mini-fridge (this seems to be a trend in most hotels these days) they helped put our cooler packs into their freezer. Also loved the shampoo
The staff are exceptional - they always make you feel welcome and they go above and beyond to accomodate you and make you feel comfortable durimg your stay. The design of this unique hotel is elegant and upscale yet still feels down to earth.

Top Tips
- Confirm backup power before booking your stay. Wildfire season (August-October) in Sonoma County can trigger Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS); hotels without generators may lose power for several hours, impacting Wi-Fi and elevator access. Ask the hotel if it keeps generator power for essential systems and device charging, and for medical or accessibility needs, confirm they have provisions for required devices during outages.
- Book at least 30-60 days ahead for grape-harvest (September-October) and major holiday weekends, as occupancy often rises sharply during these periods. Advance reservations help secure mid-range rooms and amenities such as outdoor pools or onsite dining. If traveling with family or a group, request adjoining or accessible room types during peak weekends.
- Use Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport (STS) for the shortest transfer, about 12-20 minutes by car from Windsor. Public transit is limited; pre-book a rental car or taxi for direct hotel access. Some hotel chains offer airport shuttle service by request, so contact the property in advance for schedules and fees.
- Rent a car for winery visits and town mobility, as major destinations like Healdsburg and Dry Creek are usually 10-25 minutes by car from Windsor. Driving provides door-to-door access and flexible evening returns, which is especially helpful during festivals and events. Rideshares may have longer wait times or higher fares on weekends.
- Confirm onsite parking and any event surcharges before arrival. Large events such as county fairs or harvest festivals may trigger parking lot limits or temporary fees. Request explicit parking terms and information about overflow or accessible lots, particularly if you have specific parking needs.
- To reduce US-101 highway noise, request a room facing the rear or courtyard when booking. Front-facing rooms can receive additional noise, especially in the mornings. If you are sensitive to sound, ask about quiet zones or noise-reducing features.
- Expect water-conservation measures during summer drought months and confirm amenity access in advance. Sonoma County often restricts water use from late spring through fall, which can affect pool operations and towel service frequency. Ask for the current amenity status and any sustainability programs in effect during your stay.
- Confirm Wi-Fi speed and backup connectivity if working remotely, as wine country hotels can differ widely in service quality. Request the stated internet speed at your hotel and check if wired or business center access is available. For reliable service, identify the nearest coworking space or public library in Santa Rosa or Healdsburg as an alternative.
- Check for pet or cleaning fees before booking short stays. Many Sonoma County hotels charge a flat, nonrefundable pet fee—often $15–$75 per booking—instead of a nightly rate. To avoid unexpected costs, confirm the fee policy and any cleaning specifics when reserving a pet-friendly room.
