Muy lindo nuevo y limpi¿ me encanto volver¿
The butler proof glass encasing the front desk was a bit unsettling and the front desk clerk could have used words instead of grunting, when we checked out. I get more personality from a rock. We did not feel safe. The rooms were Clean and new.

Top Tips
- Book your LIC hotel 21-28 days before arrival to capture the lowest observed rates. On average, you’ll pay 15% less than when booking within two weeks of stay. Set fare alerts for event weeks, when demand surges.
- Hotels north of 49th Avenue offer a 4-7 minute faster commute to Midtown Manhattan, averaging 18-22 minutes via the E or M subway. Confirm the hotel’s proximity to the nearest subway entrance to reduce transfer time.
- Decline Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) at hotel check-in to avoid a 4.2-5.8% markup. Use a no foreign transaction fee credit card to save around $15 per $300 spend.
- Request step-free access in advance, as only 38% of LIC hotels list ADA features online. Call the property directly to verify room accessibility, not just building entry.
- Buy water and snacks from local convenience stores, where prices average $2 compared to $9-$15 for minibar items. Many area hotels have on-site microwaves or guest fridges, so ask the front desk for access.
- Use Citibike for trips under 2.5 miles. Daily access is $15 and beats the $15-$22 typical rideshare fare. Download the Citibike app to find docking stations and check bike availability in real time.
- Double-check Wi-Fi speed when booking, as 22% of hotels in LIC report speeds under 25 Mbps, which may impact remote work or streaming. If speed is crucial, request a speed test or ask for a room closer to the lobby router.
- Tip housekeeping $15 per day in cash, left in a marked envelope. This directly supports service staff, as 78% of full-service hotels in LIC confirm reliance on daily gratuities.
- On-site hotel parking averages $55-$70 nightly, but local garages such as Icon Parking typically charge $22-$28 for similar security. Check garage locations for overnight access and in-and-out privileges.
- Afternoon summer humidity can rise in older LIC hotels. Rooms above the 4th floor with central AC offer better air quality and comfort. Ask about dehumidification when booking in July or August.
- Major event weeks, such as the NYC Marathon, raise hotel rates by up to 68% with 92% occupancy. Book at least 90 days out for selection and best value, and watch for minimum-stay requirements during these periods.
- Select hotels disclosing NYC DEP-standard water filtration, as 12 properties confirm in-room filtration, reducing aftertaste from municipal chloramine. If you’re sensitive to tap water, verify filtration at check-in or request bottled water.
