That the room I originally thought we booked and had to get moved to was actually good size.
Mattress was firm, location to highway and restaurants. Even though the hotel was busy with people the room was quiet.
This hotel single-handedly restored my faith that it?s possible to get a beautiful room, that is clean and the staff is friendly, for under $---. Before now, I wouldn?t dare get a room for under a $--- for fear of being killed, or bed bugs. THANKS!!!!

The location and price
It¿s clean but the workers are weird and give harassment vibes. They lurk on you on the cameras and One of their employees ¿Jay¿ weirdly texted my cell phone and said I gave him my number & when I said I didn¿t know anyone by the name he later visited

It was clean.
They had given me a room on the second floor and asked if it's okay because their elevator was down and when I told them I have extremely bad asthma, they insisted on changing rooms to the first floor. Very much appreciated this gesture!

Top Tips
- Book your Burnsville hotel 2 to 3 months ahead for summer travel, as rates rise 20-30% from July to August due to regional events like the Minnesota State Fair. Early booking also improves your chance to secure preferred room types and loyalty perks during the busy Minnesota State Fair season.
- Choose hotels near Burnsville Center for 15-25% lower nightly rates (typically $90-$120 USD) and reduced noise, offering better value for families than properties closer to the Mall of America. Hotels near Burnsville Center also offer easy access to family dining and shopping, making them a practical base for travelers with children.
- Factor in 10-13% total taxes and fees on your Burnsville hotel bill, including 7% state lodging tax plus 3-6% local fees, to budget accurately. Double-check your booking confirmation for a breakdown of taxes and fees, as these may change for special event periods.
- Request step-free access when booking, as 70-80% of Burnsville hotel rooms offer ADA-compliant entry, but confirming ensures features like ramps or elevators are available for mobility. Step-free access is also convenient for guests with strollers, wheelchairs, or large suitcases, so specify your needs when reserving.
- Prepare for potential 1-2 hour power outages during January-February blizzards by choosing hotels with backup generators, as Burnsville averages 10-15 storm-related incidents annually. Ask at check-in if flashlights or emergency supplies are available when storms are forecasted.
- Use in-network ATMs, such as Wells Fargo at Burnsville Center, to withdraw cash, as bank ATMs typically charge 2-3% foreign transaction fees compared to 1% at chain hotel kiosks. Verify daily withdrawal limits and operating hours at hotel ATMs, as restrictions can apply.
- Book 3 to 4 weeks in advance for mid-week Burnsville stays, extending to 4 to 6 weeks for weekends or event periods, to avoid a 15-25% price increase. Set up a price alert to get notified when rates drop for your preferred dates.
- Expect typical Wi-Fi speeds of 20-50 Mbps download at Burnsville hotels, which is sufficient for standard remote work tasks. If you are a loyalty program member, ask if complimentary upgraded Wi-Fi is included in your tier, as higher speeds may otherwise require a $15 upgrade fee per day.
- Look for hotels participating in the 'Green Lodging' program, often indicated by reduced linen changes and water conservation efforts, to support local sustainability. Ask staff about recycling options or additional eco-friendly services during your stay.
- Prioritize hotels near I-35W and County Road 42 for faster access, reducing travel time to the Mall of America by 12-18 minutes and Minneapolis-Saint Paul Airport (MSP) by 15 minutes. Check if your hotel provides a shuttle or has direct public transport links for these routes.
- Verify if a 'free' hotel shuttle includes Mall of America drop-off, as only about half of Burnsville hotels offering shuttle service extend it to the mall. Ask for shuttle times and frequency, particularly during weekends or event periods.
- Choose hotels with indoor pools if traveling with children between November and March, as outdoor pools are non-operational for 5-6 months due to freezing temperatures. Check pool hours and available safety features, such as lifeguards or flotation devices, before arrival.
- Request rooms on upper floors to minimize noise from I-35W, as properties abutting the freeway report 60-65 dB noise levels at ground level during the day. Upper floors may be especially helpful if traveling with light sleepers or young children.
- Confirm step-free access beyond ADA labels for older properties, as 40% of Burnsville hotels built before 2000 may lack elevators despite having ADA ground-floor rooms. If using a wheelchair or mobility scooter, specify your needs so the hotel can confirm true step-free access.
- Expect Wi-Fi speeds of 85-120 Mbps in guest rooms, suitable for remote work, but avoid video conferencing on shared business center lines which may be throttled to 10-20 Mbps. Check if your rate includes unlimited Wi-Fi or if usage limits apply during peak hours.
- Opt out of daily housekeeping to align with local water conservation goals between May and September, as most hotels offer rebates like a $15 gift card for this choice. If you need fresh towels or linens, request a mid-stay housekeeping service without daily cleaning.
