Kitchen in room
Room was clean and bed comfortable and that was the only positives. The amenities were very poor like the breakfast and the so called free wifi would not connect to anything and the reason for that was because they wanted their guests to pay extra.

Nothing. Tv didn’t work in room. You have to pay for parking. You have to pay for breakfast. Hotel is highly overpriced and overrated. The staff cleaning the rooms were yelling and screaming in hallways like 3 year olds at 7:30-8 in the morning

Top Tips
- Select a hotel on Main Street or the West End for direct access to over 100 restaurants, Falls Park (0.2 mi walk), and nightlife. If you need fast highway entry, choose properties along I-85 or I-385, or stay near Woodruff Road shopping (retail stores within a 1-mile radius).
- Rates often rise within 48 hours of major events like Artisphere (May), Fall for Greenville (October), or Euphoria. Book at least 2-3 months ahead for these dates to secure availability and better pricing.
- Ask for the full nightly price breakdown before booking. Greenville hotels typically add 5-10% lodging tax plus parking ($15-$25/night), resort, or extra adult fees. Comparing total 'all-in' costs helps prevent surprises at check-in.
- Downtown hotels may charge $15-$25 per night for parking or have limited onsite spots. Airport hotels near GSP often provide complimentary lots and scheduled shuttle services; confirm shuttle hours in advance, especially after 21:00.
- Request early check-in (before 15:00) or late check-out (after 11:00) when booking, particularly outside peak periods. Availability varies, so check with the front desk the night before departure.
- Business guests should verify if Wi-Fi is complimentary, check for meeting rooms or business centers onsite, and confirm upload/download speeds if planning video calls. Some hotels limit free Wi-Fi to 1-2 devices per room.
- Families can request cribs, connecting rooms, mini-fridges, or microwaves when booking. Suites with kitchenettes and kid-friendly amenities are available at major chains; confirm features in advance for your needs.
- Tipping norms: Bell staff receive $15 per bag, valet attendants $15 per service, and housekeeping $15 per day, left daily. Tip in cash and notify staff directly when possible.
- Downtown Greenville and the West End report low crime rates. Use hotel safes for valuables and walk in pairs after dark on less crowded streets. Verify local emergency contacts at check-in for extra peace of mind.
- Uber and Lyft operate citywide. For attractions outside downtown, such as Paris Mountain State Park (7 mi north) or BMW Zentrum (12 mi east), a rental car adds flexibility. Downtown's 22-mile Swamp Rabbit Trail and bike-share options support car-free stays.
- Request a river- or park-view room for scenery along the Reedy River or Liberty Bridge. Many hotels rent bikes or partner with local shops for direct access to the Swamp Rabbit Trail (entrances within 0.2-0.5 mi).
- Most Greenville hotels are smoke-free and restrict pets to designated floors or sizes (maximum 2 pets under 50 lbs each) with nightly fees of $15-$100. Confirm pet rules and cleaning fees before booking to avoid penalties.
- Present a valid state or federal photo ID or passport and a credit or debit card at check-in. Expect an incidental hold of $15-$150 per stay, which is released after check-out; ask the front desk for the exact amount.
- Post-pandemic, hotels vary in daily housekeeping and contactless service options. Inquire about current cleaning policies and specific requests (such as no in-room entry) at check-in if you have safety preferences.
- Loyalty, AAA, and business rates often include early check-in, waived resort fees, or free breakfast, potentially saving $15-$30 per night. Direct booking may add perks unavailable through online travel agents.
- For a quieter night, request a room on the third floor or higher, away from elevator cores or street traffic. Interior-facing and front-desk-adjacent rooms reduce noise and increase security for solo travelers.
- Greenville’s main dress code is casual, but smart-casual attire like collared shirts, jeans, or dresses is common in fine dining venues on Main Street. For high-end restaurants, business casual is recommended; confirm with the venue if in doubt.
- Accessible rooms with step-free entry, roll-in showers, or visual alarms are standard at national chains. Request specific ADA features, such as bath rails or visual doorbells, when booking to ensure availability.
- Concierge and front desk staff offer updated recommendations for restaurants, craft breweries, and self-guided walking tours. Ask about current road closures or the fastest GSP Airport routes, as detours can add 10-15 minutes.
- Solo guests benefit from downtown stays with all-day foot traffic and fast police response; request upper floor rooms and use safes. Families should book suites early and confirm laundry, fridge, breakfast, and cribs. Business travelers should verify meeting support, 24-hour Wi-Fi, early breakfast (from 6:00), and quick highway or convention shuttle access.
