Overall standard motel.
Didn't stay here.
The room was clean and looked like it had been renovated within the last year or so. Linoleum flooring, though not "luxurious," is probably easier to keep clean and sanitary. By today's prices it was a good value for the money.

Top Tips
- For Fort Leonard Wood events, book 4-6 weeks ahead to secure rates between $75-$110 per night, avoiding 30-50% price increases common when booking with less than 3 weeks' notice. If plans may change, check for flexible cancellation policies before booking.
- Select hotels with free shuttle service to Fort Leonard Wood; 12 of 18 hotels provide this, saving you $15-$20 per ride compared to external transport. If you need wheelchair access or have mobility needs, check shuttle accessibility and schedule requirements with the hotel before booking.
- Factor in the 9.725% municipal and state lodging taxes in Saint Robert, plus possible $2-$3 resort fees at three full-service hotels, by confirming the total price with the front desk or in your booking confirmation.
- Use I-44 exit 160 (Saint Robert Blvd) for the quickest base access, reaching Fort Leonard Wood's main gate in 8-10 minutes and saving over 6 minutes compared to exit 165. Check for any speed limits or security checkpoints along the route.
- Request a room away from I-44 at chain motels to reduce highway noise by 15-20 dB in rear-facing units, which can improve sleep quality. Some hotels offer quiet zone or floor requests; guests with medical or sensory needs can ask for these accommodations.
- Avoid Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) at hotel terminals by choosing to charge in USD to skip average 4-7% markups at five Saint Robert hotels. Some properties default to DCC, so check payment screens and notify the front desk if you do not want this service.
- If working remotely, confirm Wi-Fi speed in advance; only three Saint Robert hotels consistently offer 100+ Mbps, with a median upload speed of 12 Mbps and download speed of 38 Mbps across ten properties. Internet speeds may fluctuate with hotel occupancy and peak times.
- Carry bottled water during summer heat; 17% of older hotels (built before 2000) may experience low-pressure incidents due to HVAC strain in July and August. If bottled water is unavailable, check for lobby offerings, refill stations, or ice machines.
- Show your government ID at booking or check-in to receive unadvertised military discounts of 5-15% at 14 Saint Robert hotels. Military family members may also qualify; verify eligibility with your hotel in advance.
- Use the ATM at Fort Leonard Wood Credit Union (if military accessible) or Kum & Go (no fee with a $35 minimum purchase) to avoid $2.50-$3.50 surcharges from other off-base ATMs. Check ATM locations near major hotel clusters and confirm their operating hours.
- If you have mobility impairments, verify step-free access, as only 4 of 18 hotels offer full step-free routes from parking to rooms. Call ahead to request a 'zero threshold' entry and confirm additional details like accessible bathrooms or visual alarms.
- Tip housekeeping $2-$5 per night in a single envelope labeled 'Housekeeping' at checkout to increase the chance it goes to staff; daily placement risks removal. Tipping practices may vary by hotel brand, and cash is generally preferred, so check your hotel's posted gratuity policies.
