Breakfast
Good location and nice staff
The staff were very welcoming. They did mention at booking in, they were short staffed. If anything you needed in top up, milk tea, coffee etc, please help yourself. There was nothing We didn¿t like. It catered for our needs.

Location and service/food was good!
It's location next to the station is excellent. You can get a bus in to town, a bus to cheshire oaks outlet and a train to Liverpool very easily. These are the things that we wanted to do, but the choice is great. Buy the breakfast at ÃÂã10- it is excellen

Location and the food were fantastic. There is a garage lot 300 ft behind the hotel which is great. The Main Street in front of the hotel is closed to traffic and is used as a town square and shopping dining area. Very old and unique. We loved it

Great location & tucked away from it all,but only a short drive from Liverpool & Chester.
Nice breakfast and good serving lady. Good location for where I was working. Staff in the bar was trying hard. It has a degree of charm and will probably be rather nice on a warm summer's evening. It was extremely cheap for what it was.

Top Tips
- Central Chester hotels fill quickly 4-8 weeks before race meetings, especially in May to July. Confirm your stay early to secure options within 500 m of the racecourse and minimize rate increases typical during major events.
- Chester Zoo is 9-10 km (5.6-6.2 mi) from the city center. Plan 15-20 minutes by car or 30-40 minutes by bus. Allow 3-4 hours to visit, and ask your hotel about discounted family ticket partnerships or local transport tips.
- Many historic hotels in Chester's 'Rows' quarter have narrow entrances or internal steps. Verify step-free or lift access when booking, and request an accessible room with visual alarms if needed.
- From Chester station, Liverpool Lime Street is 35-40 minutes away and Manchester Piccadilly 50-60 minutes by frequent Northern or Transport for Wales trains. Purchase flexible tickets for off-peak savings.
- Central hotels often lack onsite parking, and daily fees may apply where offered. Nearby public car parks managed by Cheshire West & Chester Council are within 300-600 m; check online maps for tariffs before arrival.
- Major Chester sights are 10-18 minutes on foot from the station, so guests can explore the Roman walls and cathedral district without taxis. Consider a guided walking tour for historic context.
- Hotel check-in and check-out in the UK is typically 15:00 and 11:00. To access your stay earlier, request early check-in or free luggage hold in advance, and consider a room facing Chester Cathedral for quieter nights compared to riverside bars.
