They wouldn't let me check in even know I was there and even stayed there the night before and did nothing wrong and prepaid for room and again won't let me check in.
Quietness
The place had broken table legs, half the tv screen had lines down it. The bathroom toilet had black stuff under the seat on inside the toilet. The shower was stained and would not drain all the water. The light by the door flickered on and off. Horrible

It's a very modern hotel, and though the decor seems like a little sparse it's quite comfortable. Took me a minute to get a handle on the shower controls, a little unusual. I thorough enjoy my interaction with the front desk manager who checked me in.

Very nice staff in a perfect, walkable location. Our room was ideally designed with a door between the sleeping & living areas. Pool was a good temperature and pet-friendly. The in-room kitchen was well-stocked and had a full-sized fridge/freezer.

I have never gotten a message from the front desk, asking how things are once I arrived in my room, but I did this time from a Hotel employee. That was very impressive.
I like this hotel. It is sometimes pricier than I'd like, but this booking, on this particular date was a good deal. It is clean and fresh looking. Zero complaints.

Top Tips
- Book Monroeville hotels 2-4 weeks ahead to secure rates 15-25% lower, particularly before local events when last-minute bookings (within 7 days) can cost up to 25% more. Compare flexible and non-refundable rates using online tools, and check for price spikes around sports games or major conventions.
- Add 13-14% in local taxes: Pennsylvania state tax (6%), Allegheny County tax (7%), and a potential 0-1% occupancy tax. Taxes are typically added to online bookings automatically, but review your confirmation to verify how they are itemized.
- Staying near I-376 can save 10-15 minutes commuting to Pittsburgh versus other Monroeville locations. Check map distance or shuttle/rideshare options to prioritize quick downtown access, especially for business or events.
- If you need reliable connectivity, look for hotels with business centers or Wi-Fi speeds above 25 Mbps for video calls. Confirm network details and ask about meeting room access for privacy if you plan to work remotely.
- Parking is complimentary at most Monroeville hotels, but some properties may charge $15-20 per day for self-park or valet. Verify any parking costs for multi-night stays, and ask if EV charging is available.
- Bring a reusable water bottle, as municipal tap water in Monroeville is safe to drink and can save you money on bottled water. Ask the front desk about public water refill station locations in larger hotels.
- Many mid-range hotels include complimentary breakfast, saving $15-20 per guest per day. Confirm breakfast hours, offerings, and dietary accommodations like gluten-free or plant-based options when you check in.
- Expect 15-30 minute delays on I-376 toward Pittsburgh during weekday rush hours. Plan departures outside peak times if possible to avoid traffic, and consider using traffic apps or checking with the front desk for real-time updates.
- Allow 35-45 minutes to reach Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) during off-peak hours, and add 15-30 minutes during rush hour or snow. Confirm airport shuttle or car service arrangements with your hotel at booking.
- From November to March, the Pittsburgh area can see up to 35-40 inches of snow annually, possibly adding 30-60 minutes to commutes after storms. Monitor local forecasts, ask if hotels offer covered or secured parking, and check on snow removal or parking conditions.
- During major Pittsburgh events like sports games or concerts, Monroeville hotel rates can rise 20-50%. Book at least 2-4 weeks early to lock in standard pricing.
- Most hotels along US-22 or near Monroeville Mall offer free on-site parking. During event weekends or if you need covered or secured parking, call ahead to confirm options, and ask about height restrictions or spaces for larger vehicles.
- Public transit between Monroeville and Pittsburgh is limited, especially late at night. Plan to use ride-share, taxi, or drive yourself for evening returns, and check if your hotel offers shuttle options or accessible transportation.
- For added security, select interior-access hotels with lobby amenities since sidewalks are limited near highways. Request a room near elevators for step-free access, and ask for an accessible room if extra mobility support is needed.
- If you are sensitive to noise, choose upper-floor rooms facing away from I-376, as highway-facing rooms can register 65-70 dB at night. Include this request at booking or check-in, and consider bringing earplugs or asking if the hotel provides them.
- Monroeville hotels generally do not charge resort fees, unlike many city-center properties. Review your booking breakdown to confirm if taxes are charged per night or per stay, and direct any questions about fees to the hotel’s reservation desk.
- Tipping housekeeping $2-5 per night is customary. Leave the amount in a labeled envelope at checkout or each day, and ask the front desk for envelopes or change if needed, as staff may rotate rooms every 2-3 days.
- Stack AAA/CAA and eligible corporate codes at most Monroeville hotels to save an additional 5-10%. Enter discount codes during booking or show your membership at check-in, and verify eligibility for rate stacking with the hotel.
