Max. There was so much I would be so proud of, were I still working in the industry and this my property to care for. Were I to get a work visa, allowing to immigrate back to where so much of my family came from, I think I could be happy working there.
Hotel was excellent, personal was great, buffet was great. I was extremely happy

Definitely the staff. For an inexpensive boutique hotel I didn't expect much in terms of service but WOW! They really went above and beyond to be accommodating and take care of us.

Where to stay in London
Learn about the top neighbourhoods of London
Visit the exquisitely gardened squares of this fashionable residential area once home to many literary geniuses known as the Bloomsbury Group. Have a drink where the great minds met for discussion at Fitzroy Tavern. You'll discover an array of wonderful shops along famed Oxford Street. The area includes University College London and one of the world's best museums, the British Museum, as well as the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology, The Cartoon Museum, The Foundling Museum and the Charles Dickens Museum. You'll also enjoy easy access to many of the city's attractions, including the Marble Arch and Hyde Park.
The Mayfair - Soho area, priceline's most popular neighborhood in London, is a cultural and entertainment hub with much to do and see all day and night. Soho is a fashionable district of upscale restaurants and media offices with an eccentric nightlife scene of bars and cafes that gives it an open-all-night feel. Leicester Square was dubbed "Theatreland" with many large, classic-architecture theaters; if you're lucky, you will catch one of London's major film premieres. Haymarket also has an array of theaters and restaurants. You'll feel like a true Londoner while wandering the old cobble-stoned streets of Shepherd Market lined with pubs and restaurants and browsing the titles of the London Library, the world's largest independent lending library, located on St. James's Square.
Don't worry about losing track of time while staying in the neighborhood; Big Ben will be able to help with that! Staying in this area of London is not only fit for a queen, but offers great access to some of the city's best attractions including the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Westminster Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, and Tate Britain. Bring your camera for the traditional picture next to the stoic guards and the spectacular view of the city from the bridges over the River Thames.

Top Tips
- Check if your nightly rate includes the mandatory 20% UK VAT (value-added tax); some third-party sites exclude VAT, resulting in about a 20% increase at payment. Always verify tax details at checkout to avoid unexpected costs.
- Hotels within 500 m of Paddington Station provide the fastest London Heathrow Airport access: the Heathrow Express operates every 15 minutes, reaching Terminals 2-3 in around 15 minutes. This is at least 10 minutes faster than the Elizabeth Line.
- Central business hubs such as the City or Canary Wharf typically have higher hotel rates Monday to Thursday; rates can drop by 10-40% over the weekend based on distance from the West End. Compare by date and location to save.
- Book at least 60-90 days in advance for events like Wimbledon (late June to July) or Notting Hill Carnival (late August); central London hotel rates may rise by 50-150% during these periods. Early booking improves availability.
- If you require step-free access, confirm in advance whether your station is accessible using the TfL Step-Free Tube Map. For added assurance, contact your hotel to confirm accessible room features, and prioritize locations near DLR, Overground, or Elizabeth Line stops, as under 30% of Tube stations have step-free entry.
- Expect central London hotel parking fees of £30-£70 per night (approx. $38-$89 USD), often higher than in outer zones. Compare rates with NCP or JustPark garages nearby if arriving by car.
- Pay in GBP at hotel and restaurant card terminals to avoid Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC), which can add 2-8% to your card bill versus your bank’s rate. Select 'charge in GBP' when prompted for the lowest cost.
- London tap water is safe. Ask your hotel about filtered or refillable water stations to reduce single-use plastic, or enjoy bottle refills using your own reusable bottle—many fountains are available across central London.
- A 10-15% service charge is often included on restaurant and hotel bills in London. If included, extra tipping is optional and only expected for standout service, so check your bill for this line item.
- For reliable remote work, verify if your hotel offers a Wi-Fi service level guarantee or business-class speeds (50 Mbps+). Business hotels in Canary Wharf and the City are more likely to offer enterprise-grade Wi-Fi—test on arrival if speed matters.
- Use only licensed black cabs (with visible taxi lights) or prebooked private hire vehicles. Avoid rides offered by unbooked drivers outside hotel doors, which are illegal in London; book through registered apps or the hotel concierge.
