Dirty room, air conditioning didn't work in either room; squeaky bed; coffee machine didn't work correctly; bar right next door to room, loud AND charged US dollars even though it is in Canada! Nothing good about this hotel. Do not stay there

This was probably the best hotel I've ever stayed at for the price/star-rating. It was eclectic. The staff was FANTASTIC. The rooms were fun (who can say that about a hotel). Each room had a different display and it was like stepping back in time
Conveniently located close to two large malls (including a Walmart), bus station close by with many scheduled stops directly to downtown and several restaurants nearby. The hotel restaurant is also very good.
Fun hotel with a funky 70s vibe. We loved "Granny's basement". It's nice that they had a pool table and a fun place to hang out. In the lobby I listened to some old vinyl on a turntable, and they had a lot of games, so we hung out and played games.

The room was spacious, quiet, clean, and a good value for the price. A separate bedroom for one of the beds provided extra privacy and comfort. Luggage racks were there for both guests. Restaurants were good, for the most part; especially breakfast.

It was more like a B&B which made interactions more relaxed. The staff was very attentive. While we were there to visit beautiful Victoria our time at the hotel was very pleasing. The breakfast is also excellent.
