The hotel was very clean. However, the hand soap in the bathroom was watered down. I showed this to the assistant general manager and he agreed it had been and apologized.

The room was spacious and clean. The TV had many channels. The beds were comfortable. The owner/front desk clerk is a friendly man.
The hotel is located in a comfortable area. About 10 min to The Falls and all the attractions. There is places to eat within walking distance. A bus route in front. Free Breakfast included. Rooms are cleaned every day. Pool is open late.
Good service.

It?s very dirty , the room is missing everything.
The food was OK. The coffee was great. The staff was good. Nice the room could?ve been a little better and definitely. They need to vacuum a little better. The beds are clean and the bathrooms were clean.
Suddenly decided after 6 days my credit card wasn't in my name so must be a scam. Obviously to fill the American dream which's staying in a 2 star hotel for a week. Did do me the honor of allowing me to stay till morning rather than kicking me out at 2am

Absolutely nothing. Paid for a view I didn’t get. The staff was not kind or helpful. I asked for a room above the 9th floor and it could not be accommodated. There was no hot water in the shower and the cleanliness of the room was less than desirable.
The view from the room was excellent
View of the American and Canadian falls from our room on the 15th floor. A love seat was conveniently located at the windows looking at the falls. It is within walking distance of restaurants and attractions including the incline railway.

The location and view
I stayed in the winter. There is a walkway to the casino and many choices of restaurants. You never have to go outside!
Starting From

I wasn't provided with the right information. We didn't even spend the night in hotel but we were still charged for the night. When we tried to sort things out with the manager he was so rude with us.
I've beeen transfered to the Hilton and the Oaks hotel didin't asked to me if i want to go there, so i didin't stay at the Oaks. I choosen the Oaks for the view over the falls and i didint had the same view from the Hilton. I drove 7 hours for this view
Unfortunately we were called the day before our trip and told the hotel had plumbing issues. They made a new reservation for the same price at The Hilton nearby. It was nice they took care of it for us and we weren't charged any more.

It was walking distance to practically everything and had a nice view and excellent price. The parking was free. This is important because falls parking is $35. Staff was very helpful. We will be back!

clean, close to amenities
Affordable price, Great location, Good AC!
Starting From
per night
While it is a no-frills hotel, it was clean and quiet, and the AC worked well in our room. Unlike many hotels, the AC runs continuously at a low level so it does not cycle on and off, waking you each time it comes back on. It was all we needed.

Location. Staffs.
The location is excellent, from our window we could see the ferris wheel, a fiery volcano and a few other attractions, but the noise level was fine. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go with our two young kids. Our room was clean and comfy.

Top Tips
- Expect a 13% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) on room rates, and review the 'total price' field on booking sites, as some Niagara municipalities may add a Municipal Accommodation Tax (about 4%) to the base rate. Confirm the tax breakdown before booking to avoid unexpected charges.
- Use Welland as a cost-effective base for exploring Niagara Falls. The drive takes about 20-30 minutes (20-25 km), with potential savings of 15-35% on nightly rates compared to central Niagara Falls hotels. Compare rates across hotel chains to maximize budget-friendly options.
- If you prefer quieter stays between May and December, avoid canal-facing rooms, as commercial vessels and lock operations on the Welland Canal may cause intermittent noise. Request a room on a higher floor or facing away from the canal for a more restful experience.
- Plan ground transportation ahead of time. Welland Transit offers limited late-night service, and rideshare or taxis are less available than in Niagara Falls. Arrange airport transfers or return rides in advance, especially when attending evening events.
- Tap water in Welland is municipally treated and meets safety regulations, so purchasing bottled water is usually not necessary. Refill reusable bottles at hotel stations for added convenience and sustainability.
- If traveling via Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) or crossing the US border, allocate an extra 60-120 minutes for customs procedures, in addition to the 40-60 minute drive. Check current border wait times before departure for smoother transit.
- Request accessible rooms or ground-floor units well in advance. Many smaller motels in Welland do not have elevators. Confirm elevator or step-free access during booking to ensure comfort for all guests.
- Weekend and summer occupancy rates in Welland often spike. Booking 2-6 weeks ahead for weekends, or 6-12 weeks ahead for long weekends and public holidays like Canada Day or October Thanksgiving, can help secure preferred rates and room types.
- Choose to be charged in Canadian Dollars (CAD) at payment terminals and avoid Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) to prevent extra markups. Confirm the charge currency at checkout for the most accurate rate.
