Worst hotel not clean
It was comfortable
We needed to stay overnight at JFK in order to continue our trip home and this hotel was perfect! It was close to the airport, has a free shuttle to and from the airport, a bar and food. The staff is awesome and room was spacious.

Rooms themselves were clean. Good water pressure and hot water. AC works once you plug it in. Strange they keep it unplugged so you have to troubleshoot to get it to work.
The availability of transportation
I still have not received my $100 deposit back and this place is a complete scam. The parking they claim is very tight maybe 8 cars max back there in a sketchy area. The lady at the desk was the only nice thing about this place.

It’s very close to the airport. Very accommodating for my early check in due to an early flight. The bathroom was modern with a walk in shower and a linear drain. It’s clean and had the fridge, microwave and a safe. The bed was pretty firm too.
Bathroom, bed and room was clean, staff was very nice and attentive.
Customer service was great. Fanny was an amazing host during breakfast, she was very kind and attentive. Modern decor/interior and quite clean.

The breakfast option. Excellent!
The Valet service is great. The room was outstanding except it was missing the signature convection stove I have come to expect with staying at the Residence Inn.

Good value for the prices charged in the area.
There's plenty of complimentary parking and there's a breakfast every morning, which is very nice. There is coffee in the room
I didn?t like anything about being booked into a transient hotel with my family. I was even more disgusted because you guys wouldn?t change my hotel and wanted us to stay there and not give us a chance of residences.

The morning shuttle service to the airport only! The Night time shuttle service was close. I'm in a wheelchair and had to be pushed in the street on the outer curbside(My flight got in after midnight
very close to the airport with the shuttle service free
Front desk woman who checked me in¿was very sweet. Also most helpful in allowing late checkout due to evening flight.

Location relative to airport
Good staffs.
Nothing. This hotel is in a very seedy area, even the morning cab driver said he doesn¿t like coming to the area. There were people hanging around the entrances and hall during the night. There is no lobby, just a small glass window in a narrow hall.

How warm and friendly the staff are and how clean the room was.
close to airport, but no shuttle
The hotel was made up on the web sight however once there it fell far below the standards I look for in a hotel stay. There was no real restaurant's on sight that served food that was even eatable.

I liked being completely surprised. It was much better than what I expected. The rooms aren't modern, but they're maintained quite well. No orders anywhere in the hotel. THIS PLACE IS VERY CLEAN, AND THE STAFF ARE FRIENDLY!

The Victorian-looking furnishings and room motif were unusual, but pleasant. I appreciated the effort put into making you feel like you were in Paris.

I read all the reviews saying that this hotel was very noise and my experience it was the opposite. It was quiet and peaceful.
The location was perfect for me, it was a 5min walk to Costco
Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and updated. We got the room that had access to the balcony, which was awesome. I would definitely rent from this hotel again.

Top Tips
- Reach Midtown Manhattan in 20-25 minutes via LIRR from Jamaica Station, saving 20-35 minutes compared to the E subway. Ideal for travelers prioritizing speed; verify LIRR schedules during late hours.
- The AirTrain links Jamaica Station to all JFK terminals in 8-10 minutes and adds a set fare to your trip (US$8.25 as of 2024). Confirm the current AirTrain fare before your journey and allow time for ticket purchase during peak periods.
- Hotel shuttle service policies near JFK vary: some run every 30 minutes, some hourly, and not all operate 24/7. Request written details on schedule, fees, and coverage before confirming your reservation, especially for late-night arrivals.
- Select hotels within 10-minute walking distance (800–1,000 meters) of Sutphin Blvd–Archer Av/Jamaica Station for direct access and fewer luggage transfers. Use Google Maps or the hotel's official directions to verify walking accessibility in advance.
- Expect NYC hotel taxes and occupancy fees to add 14-15% to your room rate at checkout. Always request a breakdown of all charges before booking to compare final nightly totals across properties.
- Rates at JFK-area hotels in Queens often rise during major events like the US Open (late August–early September). Booking at least 4-6 weeks ahead can reduce typical surcharges of 20% or more.
- New York City's tap water is safe to drink and regularly tested. Bring a refillable bottle to avoid paying US$2–4 per bottle at local shops and airports.
- Avoid inflated fares by using official taxi stands or pre-booked rides at Jamaica Station. Yellow taxi rates to Manhattan are metered and typically range US$50–75 plus tolls and tip. Decline unsolicited offers and verify pricing before departure.
- Direct hotel bookings often include added benefits such as free breakfast, late check-out, or prioritized shuttle scheduling—perks not always available through third-party sites. Compare total incentives and cancellation policies before finalizing.
- For accessible travel or heavy luggage, request an accessible or elevator-adjacent room during booking and confirm elevator availability at check-in. Most major chains offer step-free access and visual alarms, but amenities vary; check the hotel's official page.
- Reduce road and station noise by requesting a room on a higher floor or away from Sutphin Blvd and Jamaica Ave. Noise levels can exceed 65 dB near major roads, so clarify location preferences when booking.
