The Hoxton, Williamsburg

The room, lounge and hotel as a whole was nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good restaurants in the building (rooftop and ground floor). Great room view of Manhattan skyline. We had a broken hot/cold mixer in the shower, but got it fixed almost right away and got a generous compensation for the trouble.

Most of the reception staff gave a bit of a junior impression. The bar and lounge at ground floor is nice but mostly packed with non-hotel guests with laptops.

Really great location.

We stayed over a weekend. They're seemed to be a night on at the top of the hotel which was loud. This kept my mother (65) up, in her words it's probably a hotel for slightly younger people.

The location is perfect. The hotel lobby vibe is excellent. Food is great. Staff is very friendly

The rooms are cute but very small. I understand it's New York but there could be bigger options.

Overall the hotel is fine - the bed was very comfortable and it’s a good location in Williamsburg

The staff weren’t especially friendly or helpful - with a hotel of this price you’d expect them to at least be able to answer some basic questions about the local area (e.g. recommendations for food - we were told just to walk around or use uber eats). The room was clean with a comfy bed but was very small.The common areas are mainly busy and used by people on laptops working, you also need to make sure you book the bar or restaurant a lot in advance if you want to use it (no special access for hotel guests). Overall the stay was fine but it gives more of an expensive hostel experience than a nice hotel - so it depends what you’re looking for. I think the other hotels nearby have better facilities, so would try one of those next time.

The hotel was very modern and in a great location. My room had a view of Manhattan so that was a bonus.

Great location in the heart of Williamsburg. Only short hop on subway into Manhattan. Compact (as expected) but very comfortable rooms. Helpful, friendly staff.

Great location, very clean and comfortable rooms albeit a bit small. Rooms were quiet and staff was lovely.

Great neighbourhood, nice hotel.

Guests could not access the rooftop unless they had a restaurant reservation. I do understand that the hotel wants to keep the exclusivity but I think the rooftop could have been accessible by guests while the restaurant was closed.No separate lobby for hotel guests and the cafe got quite busy during the day, and the night.

Great location in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Free street parking nearby. Subway few blocks to go to Manhattan. My son and I went up for 4 days and 3 nights and had a ball. Love the cafe/lounge in the lobby - very hip.
