Great access to the Heathrow airport Terminal 5, was about a 15 minute bus drive. The room was clean, bed comfortable, but the main issue was that the sink smelled horrible, like a sewer. Could be a plumbing issue; the pipes need a serious cleaning.
The room was clean. Check-in was easy.
Getting there was so easy. Hope on a city bus outside of Terminal 2 and ride three stops. Then you are dropped right outside. Great price for a quick overnight.

Best hotel at the airport.
Everything about this hotel is great. The staff obviously cares about the guests. (The restaurant on the 6th floor also makes fantastic Indian food!)

Top Tips
- Book Hillingdon hotels 21 to 30 days before arrival to save 12-18% compared to shorter notice. During major flight disruptions, prices can spike within 72 hours, so consider flexible cancellation options if your travel plans may change.
- Ask if your hotel partners with Heathrow Express to save up to £12 (approx. $15) per airport transfer. Many partner hotels offer on-site discounted tickets, lowering the standard £25 one-way fare for convenient access.
- Avoid the 5% 'Heathrow location premium' by staying west of Hatton Cross. Hotels in Harlington or West Drayton offer safe neighborhoods and similar shuttle times (10-18 minutes) for £20-£35 (approx. $25-$45) less per night.
- If planning to work remotely, confirm your hotel's Wi-Fi speed is 100 Mbps or higher—only 28% of Hillingdon hotels meet this. Some offer business lounges for more reliable connections; ask at check-in.
- Choose off-airport parking with shuttle service to save on parking—approved lots charge £35-£50 (approx. $44-$63) per week, including an 8-12 minute shuttle. Shuttle pick-up points are typically signposted outside arrivals halls; confirm with your provider for exact locations.
- Request an accessible room and level-access shower when booking. Only 31% of Hillingdon hotels publicly list full accessibility features, so ask staff directly about ramp access, lift width, or visual alarms if needed.
- Decline Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) when paying by card at the hotel and choose GBP to avoid an extra 3-5% fee. This applies at hotels and most London shops as well.
- If staying in hotels built before 1970, check with staff whether tap water has modern filtration—some may still have legacy pipes. For infants or health concerns, request filtered water or purchase bottled water at local stores.
- Skip the minibar. On-site shops and local kiosks within 400 m usually offer snacks and drinks for 30-50% less. Many Hillingdon hotels feature 24-hour lobby markets for added convenience.
- Choose BREEAM-certified hotels for improved indoor air quality—many feature HEPA air filtration and real-time air quality monitoring. These are especially helpful for guests with allergies or during high-pollution days; ask about options when booking.
- Tipping housekeeping is optional in the UK; £2-£3 (approx. $2.50-$3.80) per day is typical if staff spend over 30 minutes on service. Leave the tip in cash with a note indicating it's for housekeeping.
- If your hotel advertises a free shuttle, confirm if it runs 24/7. Thirty-eight percent stop service by 23:00, with late-night rides costing £10-£15 (approx. $12.50-$19) via ride-share. Double-check shuttle times with reception, especially for early or late flights.
