The Bed and the Pillows were the best part of this hotel. The best rest I have had in a hotel bed in a very long time. It was comfortable and the pillows complimented the bed.
Very clean, and helpful staff. It was a lovely staycation.

I love my room and the location. This is the second time I stayed there when going on a cruise out of New York City.
The indoor pool was decent size and lots of chairs. Thats the Only thing I liked about this hotel.

Location, cleanliness and comfort. Would be great to have in-room microwave and not have to go to the lobby to use. Especially since there’s a frig in the room.

The hotel was close to the George Washington Bridge, and the room was comfortable for the most part, but that's about it.

I love the front lobby staff very courteous when we registered.
The closeness to NYC and the bus across the street was so convenient. Breakfast was busy but enough options for my husband and kids to be happy.

This is our 3rd tiime staying here. It's a great alternative to staying in NYC during the holidays. The young man who checked us in was absolutely delightful. The room was clean.

Very clean and modern, plenty of electrical outlets near the bed for chargers, laptops, CPAPs, etc.; great staff, excellent heating/cooling. Real dishes/utensils, a dishwasher in the room, a nearly full-size refrigerator/freezer. Quiet.
The size of the rooms
Most importantly, every staff member we encountered during our stay was so pleasantly helpful right from checking in. Breakfast ladies were awesome keeping the area and food constantly stocked. housekeeping/maintenance were helpful. Free parking!

Good reception Good size of room although I only saw one Good fitness room Good breakfast/service
We previously have stayed at 2 nearby Marriott properties during the past several years. This Homewood Suites Hotel was far superior to those River Road area properties both in pricing and quality of environment and overall amenities.

Location, however parking was a challenge.
Very spacious room with powered black-out drapes and shades for all windows. The full kitchen is very practical and useful for long-term stays. We stayed for 12 nights so did use the kitchen a few times.
The bed was amazing!! The staff was SUPER FRIENDLY!! My only complaint was the breakfast options weren¿t varied, however, other then that, EVERYTHING was amazing!

Very nice atmosphere from check in to check out. The only issue is limitation on when only reserving a room is only option. It's best to also give option to pay in full.
It was very close to The Excelsior. I was in town to attend a wedding so the location of Red Carpet was fantastic.

This hotel reaked from smoke . The reception desk was in a bullet proof Booth. Who bearly spoke English. It was over priced for what I got. I was shocked that it's rated more then one star.

Top Tips
- Book 2-3 months ahead for peak events to secure rates 20-30% lower than last-minute bookings. Prices can rise 30-50% during NYC events like New Year's Eve or summer festivals, so early booking helps lock in savings.
- Factor in the 14-15% occupancy tax on your hotel stay. New Jersey hotels add state and local fees that are often not included in initial quotes, which could add up to $15 per night on a $150 room, so confirm the total price before booking.
- Select hotels within 1-2 miles of Interstate 80 to reduce NYC commute times by 15-20 minutes. These locations offer direct highway links and are generally in quieter neighborhoods.
- Check for 50-100 Mbps Wi-Fi in business-oriented hotels such as Holiday Inn Express. These speeds typically support remote work with fewer interruptions; confirm at check-in if high-speed access is required.
- Request ADA-compliant rooms proactively, ideally 1-2 weeks ahead. Around 70-80% of Saddle Brook hotels have step-free access, but always confirm specific accessibility features to ensure they match your needs.
- Prepare for winter weather with temperatures dipping to 25-35°F, and expect occasional snow. Power outages of 1-2 hours occur on about 10-15% of January nights, so consider hotels with backup generators for uninterrupted comfort.
