like a Caribbean getaway
The resort is a hidden oasis. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. There are 2 swimming pools, one for families and one for ages 21 yrs and up. The seating was secluded throughout the resort.
Well I was there for a next day business trip, enjoy the location the activity they have around the hotel (reason for looking into, summer trip with the family).

Nothing. Thus place is a dump.
rooms were clean
I didn't like a thing about it. I sleep in my car the one night I stayed. I checked out the next morning. Your photos of the hotel, on your web site, must be from when it was first built. The building is not even close to as nice at what the photos

Top Tips
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the main airport for Venice, California; Venice does not have a commercial municipal airport. LAX is about 8-10 miles southeast, and taxis or rideshares typically take 25-45 minutes during peak periods. Check estimated fare ranges in-app before you travel; accessible transportation and services are available at LAX for guests with mobility needs.
- Book your Venice, California hotel 3-6 months in advance for peak season (June-August), or 1-2 months ahead for other times, as popular local properties fill fast. Early booking increases room type availability, including accessible or family accommodations, and helps secure lower rates—prices can rise by 20% or more within 8 weeks of arrival.
- Expect hotel parking to be limited, with daily fees typically ranging from $15 to $45; street parking is scarce and mostly metered. Rideshare services and bike rentals offer convenient alternatives. Some hotels offer EV charging or accessible parking—verify policies and availability directly if these features are essential.
- Recent guest reviews provide insight on soundproofing and onsite security—especially for hotels along the Boardwalk, where nightlife can extend late. If street noise is a concern, request a room away from Ocean Front Walk. Confirm whether the property offers step-free entry, an accessible check-in desk, and 24-hour staffed reception for late or night arrivals.
- Plan for 14-17% in local occupancy taxes plus possible daily resort fees (often $15 to $30) on top of the base room rate in Los Angeles County. These are usually included at booking but can sometimes appear as a new line at check-in—request a breakdown from the hotel, especially if booking through a third-party site, for full transparency.
- Standard U.S. hotel tipping: $2-$5 per day for housekeeping and $1-$2 per bag for bell staff. Cash is generally appreciated; larger amounts are typical for exceptional service. Tipping expectations may vary—ask the front desk if unsure, and follow accessible assistance gratuity practices as needed.
- Choose a hotel that matches your travel needs: surfboard storage or bike rentals for beach activities, strong Wi-Fi for business, or family suites and cribs for children. Many properties offer accessible rooms and step-free entry; reserve accessible amenities in advance to guarantee availability.
- Atmosphere differs by hotel location: Venice Beach Boardwalk offers shops and nightlife, Abbot Kinney Boulevard is known for boutiques and cafes, and the Canal District is quieter and residential. Select a neighborhood to match your style and check walkability or public transit options if mobility support is important.
- Ask about special hotel partnerships—some properties include free bike rentals (a $15 value per day), access to local art events, or guided canal tours not offered publicly. Inquire about accessibility for tours or events if required to make the most of local experiences.
- Most Venice hotels require guests to be 21 or older to check in. A valid government-issued photo ID and credit card are mandatory; international travelers should confirm passports or credit cards are accepted. Boutique hotels may have different age policies—verify directly if booking for guests under 25, and review occupancy rules when traveling with children.
- Prioritize hotels that offer flexible cancellation or modification, such as free cancellation up to 24-48 hours before arrival. Flexible rates are usually a bit higher but allow changes if LA traffic or LAX flight delays disrupt your plans—verify these terms before you book.
