It's location, in walking distance from the airport. You can walk to it if you really want to (about 15 minutes walk). The breakfast is very good and I'd recommend it. Nice grounds and interior.
Can¿t think of anything good a sit this hotel
They have a shuttle service to Marco Polo airport and that was far cheaper than taking a taxi and the best deal around. Their breakfast it¿s also good and starts as early as 4:30 in the morning.

The cleanliness
The location was good and easy to reach Venice by bus for a good price. Nice restaurant nearby. The room was simple but tidy.
Although the room was compact it was well furnished and clean. It was useful to have a fridge. The bathroom was modern and well equipped. Staff responded immediately and resolved an issue of a leaking washbasin. Proximity to airport.

The peacefulness of Murano after the bustle of Venice.
The loft that we had was beautiful and extremely roomy. We are happy to stay in Murano vs a smaller hotel room in Venice. The location is fantastic with the public water buses right out front. The staff was all extremely helpful.
LaGare is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful location near Venice with a water taxi stop in front. The rooms are simple but elegant. Breakfast was reasonable and luxurious.

The staff was phenomenal very accommodating and friendly. The room clean and bountiful. The only drawback was the shared bathroom, although it was very clean, when the hotel was full it was very hard to get to, especially when the hotel was full of women.

Easy check in
Though there seemed to be some hesitation, the receptionists were able to answer questions though it is not something that should be praised. It¿s also super close to the airport. An option if you need a one night cheap one night stay.

Our room & the hotel were beautiful. The staff was fantastic and eager to help. They arranged our airport transport, our cruise transport, and a tour of the Murano Glass factory. I've never been in a room with padded cloth wall coverings!

The staff was very helpful before (with explaining how to navigate Venice to get to and from the hotel) our arrival and after (suggestions on what we should see/do while there).
Clean , AC, elevator & close to rail. I will stay again. The room is small, yet very well designed. Great restaurant outside the door. Water bus stops are very close.

None of my status worked because I booked through you. The room was right over the hotel garbage cans, which was also where the staff took their smoke breaks. So if I opened the window because the room was 26 degrees, the room filled with cigarette smoke.
It is very quiet and comfortable. It's neighborhood is one of a very few not over in with tourist.
Very nice hotel with great staff. A little off beaten path but perfect for what we needed with Alilaguna stop close by for easy access to the airport.

Top Tips
- Book your hotel at least 4-6 weeks in advance for summer (June to August) or Carnival in February, as rates often increase by 20-40% and availability is limited across Venice’s main districts. Compare prices early to secure preferred hotels before they fill.
- Verify airport shuttle service hours and cost directly with your hotel near Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE). Most shuttles run every 20-60 minutes, but some do not operate late at night, so confirm exact timing if your flights are outside 07:00-22:00.
- Bring a valid passport (for non-EU visitors) or government-issued ID (EU travelers) for every guest at hotel check-in, as Italian law requires this for police registration and it applies to guests of all ages.
- Expect to pay the 'tassa di soggiorno' (city tax) at check-out. This fee typically ranges from €1.50 to €5 per person, per night, depending on hotel star rating and season, and is usually not included in your booking price.
- If commuting from an airport hotel to Venice, take the ACTV Bus Route 5 or ATVO Express to Piazzale Roma, both running every 15-30 minutes with journey times around 20-30 minutes. The Alilaguna water bus offers a scenic alternative but takes about 1 hour.
- When visiting October to March, check if your hotel has raised entrances or provides rubber boots, as 'acqua alta' (high water) can affect access to lower-floor rooms some years. Ask about flood preparedness before booking.
- Choose hotel location by travel style: Rialto and San Marco are within 600 m of top sites and vaporetto stops, while Dorsoduro offers a quieter stay within a 15-minute walk of main attractions.
- Check if your room includes air conditioning and Wi-Fi, and ask about average room size. Many historic Venice hotels offer rooms under 18 m², and air conditioning is not always standard, especially in older buildings.
- If traveling with heavy luggage or mobility aids, request porter service or an accessible room with ground-floor or elevator access. Many routes in Venice involve steps and bridges, and not all hotels have lifts, so confirm options before arrival.
- Tipping is modest in Italy: plan €1-2 for porters and €5-10 for exceptional service. Observe quiet hours from 22:00 to 08:00 to comply with local regulations in residential Venice neighborhoods.
- Confirm the city tourist tax amount and accepted payment methods at check-in. Most hotels require payment on site by cash or card, and the fee is charged per person based on hotel classification.
- If staying in autumn or winter, ask if your hotel provides guidance or loaner boots for 'acqua alta'. Raised walkways appear around Piazza San Marco during high water, and packing foldable waterproof footwear is recommended.
- Public transit fares vary: ACTV single rides cost €1.50, Alilaguna airport lines are €15, and multi-day vaporetto passes range from €25-65 for 1-7 days. Save on frequent sightseeing by buying passes in advance.
- Clarify details before booking by asking, 'Do you provide pickup from the airport dock or train station? What’s the cost?' and 'Is the city tax included?' Confirm these costs and payment options on your reservation.
- Pickpocketing is most common in crowded areas like vaporetti and near Rialto Bridge, so keep valuables in your hotel safe and carry only the cash or cards you need in zipped bags when exploring.
- You must present a valid passport or ID at check-in for police registration. Smoking is banned indoors by Italian law, and fines for non-compliance typically start at €50.
- Leverage your hotel concierge for restaurant bookings, museum reservations, or to discover local cuisine at traditional bacari. They can help you avoid peak times and tourist-oriented venues.
- Solo travelers can increase convenience and safety by staying near San Marco or Santa Lucia Station, both within 200 m of major vaporetto stops and well-lit at night.
- If traveling with family, request cots (culla), interconnecting rooms, or suites, and confirm if breakfast includes children’s options. For safety, check balcony or water-facing rooms for childproof locks.
- Business travelers should verify Wi-Fi speed, early breakfast options (from 06:30 or 07:00), and confirm if meeting spaces or business services are available. Many airport hotels offer express check-in if needed.
- Expect compact rooms in historic Venice properties (often under 18 m²). Read recent guest reviews to check for honest feedback about cleanliness, air conditioning, and noise levels, as these can vary by building age.
- Elevate your stay by choosing hotels with unique amenities like a private dock, rooftop terrace overlooking the lagoon, or in-house spa. Some properties offer Venetian-style treatments or panoramic views not available elsewhere.
- During summer, confirm that air conditioning and early breakfast (before 07:30) are available, as temperatures often reach 30°C in July and August. Many shops and restaurants close for Ferragosto (mid-August), so plan accordingly.
- Keep both digital and printed booking confirmations and have your hotel's contact details accessible. Email your expected arrival time and flight number in advance, as many hotels adjust check-in for late or early arrivals.
- Save 10-25% by booking in quieter Venice neighborhoods like Cannaregio or Dorsoduro, which remain within 1 km (0.6 mi) of main sites and offer local dining options with fewer crowds.
