    Pros +

    • Location beach , staff lounge areas
    • Absolutely beautiful spa area which we have visited daily. Hotel is located beautyifuly, we walked directly from our room to pool area and beach. One important thing to improve is the mattress - the visitors could benefit from new ones. Overall it was a very good experience and we are looking forward to our next visit.
    • The best advantage of this facility is location near to sea and Villa accommodation.

    Cons -

    • Sparse updates - need a few more amenities. Restaurant needs more evening ambience- music , dim lights etc
    • The only challange where the beds. Next guests can benefit from new ones.
    • Normal rooms are very disappointing.Interior pool is not for children.Breakfast 3/5

Beachside location, lovely gardens, genuine retro hotel and relaxed polite service. Fab breakfast.

The spa, albeit stunning, seemed empty every time I went in there. Not overly welcoming. Beware, many slip hazards. Could be used more if made free for residents.

Amazing location, but nowhere near a 4* hotel. No kettle, coffee or tea in the room. The spa is not included in the price, you have to pay extra. And even though the gym is free, it is open only in a limited timeframe starting from 10 and if the “spa colleague” is not there for some reason, you cannot enter. The water in the pool was very cold, we could barely use it.

    Breakfast and location

The poot customer service and the fact that they didn't refund us for 2 nights when the lobo marino was cancelled and we had to return to madeira and cut our trip short

Fabulous beach behind the property. The staff were extremely nice. The breakfast was very good and the beach bar/restaurant was excellent.

The gym was dirty with no towels, water or cleaning products. Only opens at 10 am with limited hours and rusty equipment. There was no tea or coffee maker in the room. No bottled water in the room. The property needs some serious updating. Don’t see how it rates 4 stars. Hallways and rooms are very dark and there is no elevator or views. You can only have one beach towel per person every three days.

    Location and breakfast are wonderful

I would like to have a kettle in the room

The 1 mins walk onto the beach& the delightful spa on site

Small rooms upon arrival the first room. Was in was old and smelled very dusty from the curtains may have indicated they hadn’t been taken down for a long time no sea view was unfortunate From the main photo I made an assumption the building would give part of that kind of view into the seaI really didn’t like receiving a notification once my payment was taken by booking.com that rooms had been reduced for the same 3 night stay by €70!!I’m not going to lie as a customer, that really sucked.

Amazing location, fabulous sunrise and sunset right on a glorious beach. Very friendly staff, relaxing, beautiful gardens, very easy place to stay even if dated decor it adds to the authenticity

Rooms could benefit from an upgrade but still ok

The location and, as a consequence, the sound of the nature. Delicious breakfast.

The acoustic between corridor and bedroom.

Ricardo Rodrigues at reception was awesome . He helped us alot . Beach at the end of the garden.

The all building needs some TLC

All staff is super friendly and accommodating! The hotel is really comfortable and great to be in.

Bar food is good but could have better prices.

    10BjørnPosted on: 12-12-2024

A great and friendly place! I only stayed for one night but had two super days at the beach. I am going back there for a week later on.

    7HazelPosted on: 12-7-2024

Lovely swimming pool, and lovely little bar next to the beach.

The hot dishes at breakfast were always cold! I couldn’t understand why, albeit the hotel was not full, that we were put in a room the furthest away from the reception and therefore right next door to the road.

    10GeorgePosted on: 11-25-2024

Nice setup, comfortable rooms, great staff and a lot of amenities.

A bit dated in terms of infrastructure but it does not really bother you at all.

    Architecture, location

Far from the standards of 4 stars hotel. .Boring, low quality breakfast. Old, badly equiped rooms. I booked this hotel mainy for the spa. Full body massage was arranged weeks before coming. I was informed on the day of my arrival, that there is only a man avaiable to make it. For a hotel advirtising it as SPA hotel - very low standards.Due to bad weather condition the ferry was moved on the day for later hour, I booked a simple, back massage in the afternoon and still was informed that I have to move out of the room at 12 or pay 45eur for late check out. During low season with hotel half empty. Just lack of good will and all about the money.... I staied in few hotels in Porto santo and i never experienced this kind of treatment out of the season. They told me that they dont have room to keep the bags but I can leave them at the entrance of the hotel. Standards of a hostel for the price of 4stars hotel. Never again.

The location was excellent, right on the beach. You would need however to arrange transport (the hotel do this) from the port if you arrive on the island by ferry. The food in the beach bar was very good, we ate there twice, and the staff were very friendly and helpful (especially Nadia). The reception staff were very good too and helped us to get booked on a last minute tour. Breakfast was very good too, gluten free bread was available and also alternative milk.

The only thing we can think of is that our room was near the end of a very long corridor - not a big problem, just a bit more exercise for us. A couple of gluten free cakes at breakfast would be nice next time.

Nearly everything! First-timers celebrating our 21st anniversary, which coincided with the 01 Nov. holiday (see below), we were treated to a premium room upgrade and 'sneaky' bottle of bubbly. Comfy beds, excellent breakfast buffet, the spa!, gracious public areas and that gorgeous beach. Many thanks to Ines, Ricardo, Luciana and all the staff, you were a pleasure. Appreciated the authentic mid-century design and vibe. So looking forward to a return trip!

The 01 November holiday meant very limited options for dinner in the on-site restaurant and quality suffered. Even so, most places were closed...at least we got to eat and staff went out of their way to register feedback. Next trip, we'll just tweak the dates.

The proximity to the beach, the exclusiveness of the place has ly allowing the guests in residence to use the beech bar. The breakfast was also fabulous.
