The room was oceanview, 2nd floor, and we loved being able to hear the ocean from the balcony and watch the sun set.

Nothing they discriminated against me and my black family
Helpfulness
This is obviously a budget motel, so that's worth considering when rating the experience vs the expectation. My room was spotless, smelled clean, had new bedding and a very comfortable bed. I wanted something cheap and this was above average for the price

Location, cleanliness and friendly staff
Great room for a great price. No view, but spacious, clean room w/lots of amenities (fold out sofa, fridge, microwave, stove, dishes, coffeemaker). The pool was small but warm and fun for kids (no hot tub). Stay included breakfast with a descent variety.

The Halloween decorations were fantastic. So many special touches. Staff that checked us in were great. They even got us some cream cheese from the kitchen upon our request after finding out we forgot our condiments. :-)
Found 3 separate hairs throug bedding, found garbage, food crumbs around the edges of bed and a cigarette wrapper in the corner showing a lack of cleanliness.Staff was nice gave a 20 %refund but should have been total refund. Gross we won¿t be back 4 sure.

Friendly staff, clean room, cost efficient and close to local attractions. No frills, but a good home base to sleep and shower when you're traveling through.

We were able to get checked in early for no extra charge, I liked the layout i Of the room. The location is nice however it would have been better if MO’s roof wasn’t part of our beach view
The best part was not being there.

It was in a great area, right across from the beach. The hotel was very clean and had great amenities including a continental breakfast, multiple sitting areas outside, a firepit, chairs to rent to take to the beach and more.
Bunnies. And cookies. And breakfast. And everything,
All the special little extras that were value added like the cookies, taffy, coffee, DVDs, and Games. The breakfast was very good and they did not rush you to get out at 10:00. Staff was very nice and helpful. The grounds are very nice too.

The location is great to get to the beach. But the location is also south of most of the shops if you want that. Overall, the rooms all have a gorgeous view.
Every room has an ocean view, even though it's across the street from the beach. Small fridge, microwave & coffee maker are in the rooms, but we would always go down to the lobby to get our free brews. Staff are warm & personable. Free parking & Wifi.
The staff were friendly & professional. Room was very clean and spacious. Comfortable beds. Very pet friendly although we did not have ours with us this trip.

I liked that although I couldn't see the ocean, there were windows facing the coastline and it was a short walk to the beach. The staff/service and facilities were above and beyond what I was expecting.

Top Tips
- Book summer weekend hotels in Seaside 3 to 6 weeks in advance to avoid paying up to 40% more or receiving non-oceanfront rooms. Demand peaks between Memorial Day and Labor Day, and the Fourth of July often reaches full occupancy. Compare amenities, such as onsite pools or breakfast, before reserving during these high periods.
- Expect a 2 to 3 hour drive from Portland on major holiday weekends due to increased US-26 and US-101 traffic; normal times are 1.5 to 2 hours for the 80 to 95 mile distance. Plan check-in or departure outside Friday afternoons or Sunday evenings to avoid delays.
- For direct ocean views, select a west-facing room along the Seaside Promenade, the 1.5 mile boardwalk. Evening foot traffic and seaside events may raise noise levels compared to east-facing or inland rooms, which typically offer quieter stays.
- Choose an upper-floor room between November and March to reduce risk from coastal storm surges and wind-driven spray. The National Weather Service issues frequent advisories; ask the hotel about storm-related policies and emergency procedures before booking.
- Confirm onsite parking with your hotel before booking, as downtown and Promenade zones enforce seasonal paid parking (typically $15). This helps avoid unexpected offsite parking fees or long walks with luggage.
- Pack layered clothing for Seaside's summer climate: daytime highs average 16 to 19°C (low to mid 60s °F), and marine breezes or fog are common. A light, wind-resistant jacket is recommended for evening walks or beachfront activities.
- Request an accessible or step-free room if you need portable ramps or elevator access for the Promenade. While the Promenade is ADA compliant, several older hotels only provide exterior stairs. Confirm ADA room availability and specific features, such as visual alarms or roll-in showers, when reserving.
- Check the official City of Seaside event calendar before reserving, as major events or festivals can limit parking and affect check-in times. Confirm your hotel's policies for event dates, including any parking or access restrictions.
