Lovely staff and the hotel was beautiful and very clean

Good was good but after spending a week there we had run out of new options to try. But a great hotel for up to 7-10days

Nice beds and clean rooms. Good foods and drinks but on the expensive side…

The staff could be more familiar with speaking english. Often they did not understand me and I do not speak Portuguese properly.

The service/staff and facilities were great.

Just one minor issue was during a dinner where my dish came with a huge piece of plastic and they still charged me, which is not the expected for a place like this.

Really stunning resort in kite surfing, boho chic resort city of Cumboco. Located just under an hour from Fortaleza, you felt a world away from the big city. Breakfast was outstanding and the pool and many hot-tubs made for a such a relaxing stay. Check out the city center for some fantastic restaurants.

Everything was lovely! This place made me truly relax. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.The staff was unbelievably friendly!

The Wi-Fi could be improved in some parts. The beach vendors have also made me jump a couple of times.

Run down infrastructure. Old rooms with terrible bathrooms. Pool area with stained and dirty furniture.

Few issues in the room caused by lack of maintenance.The room was not great, small, and disfunctional layout.The worts was the noise caused by large families with children, which seems the hotel welcomes very much this kind of customer but lacks of having rules to protect other customers that are looking for a mire quite environment

The common areas of the facility are very good. They are well laid-out, clean, and decorated nicely. The service in the pool and beach areas was excellent as was the breakfast service.

The rooms need work. They are not up to a five-star quality neither in decoration nor cleanliness. Windows and veranda balcony railings were dirty, and the space behind the two sinks looked like it hadn't been touched in a long time. Little things that make a difference (and are expected at a five-star resort) such as moisturizing cream and at least one free coffee in the room were missing. The bathrooms are small, the shower tiny and the toilet paper holder was broken (something the maids saw every day and was probably less than a 5-minute fix for maintenance).

Food and beverage were a bit overpriced (a special package for beverages and/or all-inclusive could be an interesting option) and, although the room was spacious the bathroom could be bigger.

Lovely and well kept grounds. The hotel is beautifully decorated, the food and the drinks are great. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you’re taken care of., they really made our stay with their amazing service. The room was beautiful, well decorated and very spacious.

The mattress wasn’t the best, it didn’t bother me but it could be better. The vendors on the beach in front of the hotel are really pushy and made some guests uncomfortable. They set up shop of front of the jacuzzis and won’t take no for an answer. The main reason I don’t give the hotel a full rating is because during our 4 days stay there was construction going on on the first floor suites by the pool, and I wish this was noted somewhere on our reservation. Guests should be aware of it as it’s very loud.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Carmel Cumbuco resort five years ago and were delighted to return recently to find that the resort is in excellent condition, very well-maintained, and with many new improvements that added to our overall experience. The attention to detail from the staff was impressive, with small refreshing drinks and fruit served around the pool area, which was a nice touch.We particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which was not only delicious but also varied each day. The room was comfortable and relaxing, with all the amenities we needed for a pleasant stay.Overall, I highly recommend the Carmel Cumbuco resort for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The resort is well-maintained, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the little touches they provide make for a truly memorable experience.

The only downside was that the live music in the pool area could be heard from our room since all rooms face the pool. However, the music stopped at 10 pm, and we were still able to get a good night's sleep in peace and quiet.

There’s a lot of things to do and to relax. The staff was amazing and we felt very welcome.

There are only two main vegan options in the menu. Later one of the waiters told us we could request something different and the chef would make it. Maybe consider putting this info in the menu so others will know from the start.

Disgusting bathroom water ruined my stay

The bathroom was very dirty and dirty water spilled over to the floor and into the room, it was disgusting. I called the front desk and requested a room change and was denied. They sent a janitor to the room and poorly mopped the floor, essentially just spread the dirty disgusting water throuought the room. Terrible customer service

the food! not enough veggie/vegan options. there was only 1 vegan dish on the menu. the kids menu, was ok, only the food was too oily, so we would ask for steamed and they were happy to make it.
