We stayed at Svenska Kakinada again in January 2026 with my family, and once more it lived up to our expectations. As repeat guests who’ve stayed here multiple times earlier, it truly feels like a home away from home. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is consistently courteous, and the overall experience is smooth and relaxing. It’s always reassuring to see the same standards maintained every visit. Kakinada finally has a world-class hotel with large, well-appointed rooms and 5-star amenities & facilities. Being an international chain, their staff are well trained and efficient. Also the property is spanking clean and maintained to excellent standards. Bed and linen are top notch. Location is also good (quiet and peaceful), yet just 500mtrs from the main highway and a km from the mall. Plenty of options for food & beverages, which are reasonably priced.

The hotel’s restaurants serve delicious local and international cuisine — beautifully presented and packed with flavour. Events here (like DJ nights and food festivals) bring an amazing buzz and make it a social hotspot in Kakinada.Whether you’re in town for business or leisure, Svenska is hands-down the best place to stay in Kakinada. Beautifully designed hotel in a quiet and peaceful location... very spacious rooms and excellent food combined with efficient service... highly recommend for a hassle-free and enjoyable stay... overall, great value for money... will be back soon!

Swimming pool opening timings are restricted 9am to 6pm... thankfully, they were happy to relax them for me

I recently stayed and had a great experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with modern amenities that made my stay convenient. The rooftop pool offered nice views and was a relaxing spot. I also enjoyed the food at their restaurant — tasty and well-priced. What stood out most was the staff’s friendliness and helpfulness; they made me feel welcome throughout. The hotel’s facilities, including the gym and spa, were well-maintained. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re visiting Kakinada and want a comfortable, hassle-free stay.

No complaints about anything

Best hotel in Kakinada - huge rooms, beautifully designed combined with all the 5-star amenities -- swimming pool, fitness facilities, spa, gaming zone, multiple restaurants, and meeting spaces. I got a very good price online and they were kind enough to allow me to check in almost 3 hours early without charge. They have a very young team, but they are well trained, knowledgeable, and helpful. Multiple times different managers checked on my stay and even small complaint about time taken for in room order was immediately addressed. Will be back soon!

Being an international chain, had to comply with all their processes -- ID card, pre-auth for security deposit, etc., which took bit longer for check-in. They assured me next time it would be express check-in for repeat stays.

Modern property with all the facilities and amenities of a luxury 5-star hotel. Had a great stay and enjoyed the rooftop infinity swimming pool as well as massive gym and gaming zone. Their global buffet is excellent and great value for money under their buy 1 get 1 free offer. Also enjoyed excellent sizzlers in their food festival. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Overall, top class and by far the best hotel in Kakinada.

Though its little bit inside an industrial park, but I enjoyed the peaceful environment and found it to be very convenient both for airport connections as well as for my work at Kakinada SEZ in Vakalpudi, which is barely 5-10mins from the hotel. Tried their food festival and found it to be good value for money with large portions and well prepared items. Rooms are also very comfortable with a great bed and large TV

The Global lunch buffet at Svenska Design Hotel was impressive, especially with the special 50% discount making it great value. The variety of multicuisine dishes catered to all tastes, and everything I tried was fresh and flavorful. It’s a perfect spot for anyone who loves to explore different cuisines in one meal.The live band and DJ night at the Grand Ballroom is hands down the most lively event in Kakinada. The music was fantastic, blending energetic beats with great vocals, while the beautiful lighting and vibrant ambiance kept the party going all night. It’s definitely the place to be for a fun night out.

No complaints about anything

Honestly, Svenska Design Hotel in Kakinada was such a vibe. Loved how chill and quiet the location was—perfect for actually unwinding. The bed was next-level comfy, probably the best sleep I’ve had in ages. Major shoutout to the spa too; super relaxing and totally worth it after a long day. The whole place just felt modern and cozy at the same time. Staff were super sweet and made everything easy. If you’re looking for a spot to just switch off and recharge, this is it. 10/10 would go back!

Very nice hotel with excellent food at reasonable prices. They have large spacious rooms, with a huge comfortable bed. Very clean and hygienic and well maintained hotel. Staff is young but very helpful and friendly. Really liked the design of the hotel as well; especially the lobby is very trendy.

Tub only in suite rooms

Lovely hotel with huge rooms and all the facilities and amenities of a 5-star, yet at vaue-for-money prices. Located half a km inside from highway, the location is quiet and peaceful, and the property has nice views over green belt. I had lunch at their restaurant and enjoyed the freshly prepared buffet served on the table, and ordered in room dining for dinner. Though it took little while for food to arrive, but it was served piping hot and delicious. Also tried the spa, pool, and fitness centre. Overall, enjoyable stay and best part is that total bill was only about Rs.10k.

Everything was just perfect

Had a wonderful stay! The room was spotless, and the staff was incredibly gracious and friendly. I absolutely loved the hotel's architecture. The AC worked perfectly, and the location was super convenient, with the city just a short distance away. Highly recommended!

The food prices are quite high. I ordered a fish biryani for lunch, but it tasted stale and was definitely not worth the ₹599 price tag. Disappointing experience!

Svenska has come as a breath of fresh air to Kakinada, bringing 5-star luxury to the town with this delightful stylish hotel. It's not only aesthetically designed with a beautiful lobby and large rooms, but they have raised the bar on the service with young and enthusiastic team members. I'd like to especially appreciate the kitchen team for the delicious meals that I had during my stay, as well as the stewards who served with a smile. The team at the reception and the butlers serving in the rooms were equally good.

Excellent hotel located in a peaceful enclave within APIIC Industrial Park. Best part is that they give complimentary drop and return to the nearby SRMT Mall, which has loads of shopping, dining, and entertainment options and is an enjoyable place to visit over the weekend. They also have a very nice pool and spa on their top floor and I had a very relaxing massage. Rooms are beautiful and I believe each has a unique design. Bed is super comfy.

Breakfast starts at 7am; I am an early person and wish they could have it ready by 6:30am

Their beds are amazing; 14-inch mattress with soft linen and cozy duvet gave me the best sleep experience in my last 30+ years of business travel. Huge flat-screen LED HD TV with plethora of entertainment channels made it every better. Most importantly, the rooms are new and spotlessly clean and hygienic. I was told that bathrooms also get RO water, including the flushing!!! Given the pathetic quality of water in Kakinada at other hotels, this was a huge blessing as I could bathe without messing up my hair. Overall a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Have to pay security deposit at check-in, but they are prompt in refunding it back at check-out

I have been staying in Svenska Design Hotel, Kakinada ever since the property opened a couple of years ago and must say that its by far the best hotel in Kakinada. Its the only 5-star hotel and very beautifully designed, especially keeping in mind their overseas clientele. Apart from the aesthetics, this is a property with a heart and soul. Service is exceptional. Team is young and always eager to please. Food is absolutely delightful. Prices are reasonable and unlike other 5-stars, they don't end up fleecing their captive resident guests. The best part of the hotel is their sun deck and the swimming pool with beautiful views of Kakinada port. Though its compact, but comfortable for some quick laps and then enjoy the beautiful sunshine that Kakinada offers year-round. They've recently also opened a spa and must say that the quality of masseurs is outstanding. They have a really good gym as well, along with a gaming centre that has a mix of electronic as well as board games apart from table tennis, foosball, air hockey, etc. Cannot ask for more!

Highly recommend this beautiful hotel with all the luxuries combined with excellent service. Rooms are larger and more plush than any other hotel in Kakinada, with no compromise. Seems like each room has unique design elements as each time I have stayed, the interiors have been different. They offer a compact but high quality breakfast. Spa is nice with good masseurs. Fitness centre is well equipped and there is also a gaming zone. Haven't tried the pool yet, but the views are fabulous from the deck.

Iron and ironing stand have to be requested. Same for hair dryer
