The room was clean.

This hotel is significantly overpriced for what it offers. At USD 400 per night, the room was basic, with the only “feature” being a very small, one-person sauna. Nothing else about the room or the service justifies this price point.Upon arrival, there was no staff at reception. Instead, a young male (a luggage handler, as we learnt later) was sitting and playing games, he was slightly annoyed when he had to acknowledge us. When the receptionist finally arrived, she was not very accommodating and showed no empathy despite the fact that I was unwell and had just completed a long international journey. None of my reasonable requests were accommodated.Rooms had poor views (I viewed 4): three faced a car park, and the third overlooked a construction site and exposed restaurant, laundry and other technical facilities (pipes, equipment, etc.). This was particularly disappointing as I had booked many months in advance, and the stay was meant to be a special gift for my partner, who was visiting the country for the first time.The room was not heated when we arrived, and no one explained how to use any of the facilities. We only discovered on our final day that the room had a smart-home system. When we eventually managed to get the heating working ourselves, it made loud, disruptive noise throughout the night, and there was no clear way to regulate it. Our friends, who were staying separately, were unable to get the heating or sauna to work at all and left after one night because the room was too cold. The kettle did not work, so I could not make myself tea or have hot water for flue medicine. Reception staff were unhelpful and slightly "checked-out" as if we were an annoyance.Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I will not return, will not recommend this hotel to friends, and would caution others. The pricing is completely unjustified given the quality of the stay, facilities, and service.

Overall, a pleasant stay with great scenery but the price could be a little bit overpriced as there are limited facilities around the hotel. Oh, there is also sauna within the room :)

The variety and quality of breakfast was good, but was hoping it could be served at the tray with proper cutlery than in a takeaway box. The pillows, blankets, slippers are all in good and thick material BUT the Body Towel was rather thin, which is the only shocking point to me. There were some ongoing construction work, but we were only informed 2 days before the stay though.

The location, view from the balcony, greenery all around, quick response and the restaurant with lovely mountain views. They also arranged an English speaking guide for tours

Airport shuttle pickup cost is too high. They also charge for a transport shuttle from the hotel to Shymbulak or medeu. They charge for extra water bottles too. I understand that you can drink tap water there but as. a tourist, to be safe we always prefer mineral water bottles.

I like the View and hotel very clean and comfortable. They have also transport to shambling. I highly recommend to book there. There is also Auyl restaurant have a very delicious food.

If you have many languages need to carry it manually, the hotel staff will help you.

Beautiful chalets with private saunas. Needs shuttle car/bus to get to telecabin. No ski rental onsite. Only one restaurant on site. Food is traditional Kazakh which is of excellent quality, but thats all there is. Restaurant is not formally connected to hotel so reception can’t book tables for guests.

Located nearby the Medeu Skating Rink. This hotel provide shuttle to Medeu Gondola Cable Car. Spacious room with variety of breakfast. Helpful staff that makes check-in and check-out process went smooth. Their staff help also to bring your luggages to your room.I request a birthday decoration for client birthday trip, turn out this hotel provide the best service of it. My client really love the decoration in their room. Delicious romantic meals and drinks upon entering their room.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Qazaq Auyl Eco Hotel, and while it was a truly unique and amazing experience, there were some significant downsides that prevented me from giving it a full 5 stars.The ambiance of the hotel was incredible, with a cozy and intimate atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, with stunning views of the Shymbulak mountains that were truly cinematic.

However, our stay was marred by some significant issues. Firstly, the receptionist struggled to understand and speak English, which led to several misunderstandings and unfulfilled requests. We had specifically mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary prior to our stay, and were promised a complimentary gesture. Unfortunately, this was not provided.Furthermore, we were disappointed with the breakfast service. Given the hotel's bed and breakfast theme, we expected a hearty and satisfying meal. Instead, we were served a meager breakfast in a foil container, with limited options and no possibility of extras. Even coffee, milk, and sugar were rationed, with no option for additional helpings.We also found the transportation options to be confusing. The hotel charged 1,000 tenge for a two-person ride, with limited free transportation options. We were told that free transportation was only available from 8-10am, and then again from 4-6pm, but this was not clearly communicated.Lastly, we were disappointed with the lack of assistance during checkout. Despite informing the receptionist ahead of time that we needed help with our luggage, we were left to carry all five bags ourselves down the wooden stairs and across the icy floors. This was not only inconvenient but also hazardous.

This is a very beautiful resort in the middle of Medeu mountains away from the busy city of Almaty.- The views from the balconies are breathtaking. Make sure you wake up for the sunrise to enjoy it from your balcony.- The rooms are spacious and clean.- TVs are smart and have different apps, including YouTube.- They offer a shuttle to Medeu cable car. You can ask the reception to book the shuttle for you at the time of your convenience.- There's a bicycle rental service.- The affiliated restaurant (Auyl) is good and offers a wide variety of Kazakh dishes.- Breakfast dishes were good. The utensils are available in the first drawer under the TV.- There's a sauna in each room's bathroom.- The toiletries are of good quality.

- Note: This is not an accessible resort. There are stairs that lead to all the rooms (bungalows). The nearest room (room 1) is about 30 stairs away. The furthest room (room 9, a bedroom and a living room) is about 100 stairs away.- There are no phones in the rooms, but the communication with the reception is done through WhatsApp. They do respond instantly however.- There's no room service. You can visit the restaurant and order a take out.- Delivering your luggage to the room is for a fee. It could be understandable given the effort it takes to go upstairs with the luggage. But that's something to consider.- No restaurant for breakfast. However, they give you a breakfast menu upon check in from which you choose your dish everyday by texting your choice to the reception's WhatsApp number.- There's no gym, but you can do your workout in nature, climb the stairs as a cardio workout, or rent a bike from the reception.- No bidet in the bathroom.

Everything really, lovely stay in a beautiful location. Staff were very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. Chalets are finished to a high level and are very cosy.Whole set up for the accommodation is amazing and we had a tasty meal in the restaurant with lots of horse!!!Free shuttles to the gondola are great as well.

Three things to note:Sauna takes a very long time to heat up.Rooms needs some lamps and bedside tables.Tea and coffee in the rooms should not be an added extra.

Breakfast !!!!! Which hotel close to a ski station delivers the breakfast 30-45 mn after the ski station opens ( we got our breakfast at 9.15 and when we asked in advance if we could have it before they just told no) +, what is an « premium eco » hotel that delivers the breakfast in plastic container with plastic fork and knife, no logic and should be change. Staff is not bad but i think they just don’t care one second about you, which is not very nice for an almost 270€/night hotel, more than monthly salary for some workers in Kazakhstan.

The serenity and the surrounding was really breath taking. The room was spotless and the bathrooms super clean and cozy. They have a sauna in the bathroom as well.

Breakfast is brought by hotel employees at 9-9:30 AM. If you plan to sleep a bit more the food will be cold and there is no microwave in the room to heat it.
