City Reach Motel

The hotel only claims to be 3.5 stars, definitely not 4. It is an average motel that is a little cleaner than average but the rooms are designed for cheapness of build and ease of cleaning. Everything works but it was definitely not worth the $---

The room we stayed in didn't have a functioning heater or air-conditioner, we were put in a room with a double bed and paid for queen.The room was untidy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. We wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone and won't be ever staying there again.

Location was nice. Simple and spacious place. Had all the essentials. Great for a short stay.

Bathroom facilities could be a newer.

Great location with easy walk to town. Clean room with a comfortable bed. Easy check in process and key drop off when we left. Unfortunately for us there was a very large noisy family group gathering outside our room all the time which was annoying but not the motels fault. Overall a good place to stay.

Great value for money and provided all we needed comfortably.

Cutlery was missing and on second stay on return trip some of crockery was wet from previous use.

Great location

TV operation had lot's of trouble selecting free to air. Broken chair. Exhaust fan's running all night. No way of switching them off. Bed was saggy.

Warm welcome, everything you need in the room, which was very clean and good size. Comfortable bed. Easy access to the town.

Very comfortable beds and pillows. Great for a night stop over. Close to shops and eateries. Clean rooms. Had a kettle, toaster, and hairdryer. Tea, coffee, and milk provided. A quiet motel.

Location is fantastic.

It is a 1970s motel that has had little upgrade. Electrics are a problem, it is not equipped for modern electrical needs. Ie laptops. Cpap, phone charging, etc.

Good size with separate bedroom for the kids. Had everything needed for a short stay. Pool was a great bonus.

Comfy bed, great location, easy walking distance to restaurants/city centre etc. Good off street parking, and can fit a trailer which is helpful for me.

For the price, it was great. Nothing not to like.

Very convenient location for the centre of town and restaurants. Not too expensive.

One of the bedside lights didn’t work and the toilet flush was faulty. Worst of all was that people were smoking on the upper level walkway. There were chairs and sand bins for cigarette ends between each pair of rooms so it was obviously acceptable to smoke in these locations but the cigarette smoke drifted into the adjacent rooms which was very unpleasant.

Very attentive staff, close to city shops.

Location is the only good thing going for it - close to town.

Filthy tired bathroom. Ashtrays and chairs on common areas and near pool meant lots of people smoking directly outside rooms. Our room stank if smoke.

Close to the city centre

The carpet was filthy, the beds were awful and ridiculously over priced for what it is. We booked for 2 adults, 3 children = x2 rooms which Booking.com ‘recommended for our stay’. At the time of booking it seemed that the rooms were adjoining. The rooms ended up being at opposite ends of the facility so we couldn’t sleep with our children aged 12, 9 & 1. I asked if there was any other options and was told there was nothing else. Then when I said I would like to cancel my booking miraculously there was a family room available but I had to pay another $100 totalling = $439.05 for one night. I have no issue with paying for a decent room but this is a complete rip off. I would not recommend this property.

I liked the decor of the room, it had a bigger than usual fridge and plenty of crockery and cutlery, though it was a two bedroom room. It was very specious too.

It was located on the extremely busy main road, though the traffic noise, including semi trailers, was pretty much non existent with the door shut.
