- The bed was comfy. There was an AC in the room.
- Location was great, central to all amenities, car park on site. Staff were really friendly and helpful
Cons -
- Expensive, dusty room no wifi or fridge TV didn't work bar area poor dog in the kitchen worst place I have stayed in for years
- It was a loud crowded bar reception so being seen to check in took too long after an exhausting day. The room was tidy but the bathroom looked like a teenager cleaned it halfheartedly. Shaved hair still in the sink. Black mold in the shower. Dust in the corners. The shower itself had no hot water.
- Room was fine but maybe a little tired but overall it was comfortable and clean

Staff, were brilliant, let us in early as we were heading to a wedding.
N.a
the price
couldn't open window.ceiling water stained. room to hot.
Good location
No breakfast service, very limited evening meal service.Awful shower - too weak to wash hair.Self-checkout via fire escape since internal door to lower floors alarmed until mid-morning
Food was great bed was really comfortable great for a 1or 2 night stay for price would use again. In the centre of town
No drawers or hanging space a lot of stairs if you older but we managed and in our 70s
V friendly and helpful staff. Nice decor.Good evening meal.
Exceptionally noisy room, located at the front of the hotel, with singe glazed windows which didn't fit, properly, especially the bathroom. The radiator needs bleeding - little warmth and noisy. No shower gel in the shower - fixture was obviously broken and that provided by the hand basin was screwed down so couldn't be used n the shower. No breakfast on offer.Exiting the hotel before the main hotel was open,( midday?)entailed using the fire escape .The bed was made up as a double, but the very helpful and overworked girl on reception managed to find some linen and split the beds, whilst we were having dinner.Couldn't fault the staff but the owners need to address these issues.
Goid location, friendly staff
The bar area very cold ,
Good Location with decent parkingGood size room
Poor cleanliness and a bit run downDisorganised staff and lacking amenitiesNoisy
Staff were pleasant. Accommodation and location were good
There was no breakfast. If you went out of the hotel first thing you cannot get back to your room due to locked doors
Informed no breakfast on arrival supplied but plenty of cafes in town. Booked evening meal for a Saturday night.
Service was not great for the Saturday night, largely ignored and had to chase for service. 25% offered off the bill as recompense for poor service.
Initially booked for 21st however hospital appointment cancelled and The Plough kindly agreed to reschedule visit to 28th. Plenty parking but accessed through a very narrow entrance between buildings that would not suit larger vehicles. Staff friendly and bar pleasant. Did not eat at The Plough but menu looked fine - standard pub grub. Bedroom comfortable and clean and looked like fairly recently upgraded. Bed comfortable and decent size. Shower and toilet clean and in good working order. Room up two flights of stairs with no lift that may be difficult for some people. No breakfast facilities either self service or table service which was a pity although plenty cafes in close proximity. This facility is a pub with rooms and as such was more than adequate.
The superking bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The rooms have names that are local words. My room was "Muckle",meaning large, a lot or very.It was immaculately clean. A large room. Tasteful decor.Great hotel and staff and very good prices. You couldnt get more central,a 2 min walk for market place. Playhouse down the road and Tanners Arms just down & up on left.I will return. ?
Location was great
Room had a velux with no black out so sun came streaming in. The room was so hot with no air/ventilation and the bed was so hard we barely slept as we were so uncomfortable
The staff. The room size. The bed.
Room dirty. No glasses in the room. Coffee pod machine but no coffee pods. Broken shower holder
Clean, comfortable rooms, even the standard room was pretty spacious with nice shower
TV in our room couldn’t get BBC (wanted to watch rugby) so moved us to another room. Car park is big but only accessible by very narrow archway and steep passage off the street
Efficient check-in, free parking, large, clean room (Gadgie).Didn't eat there as we had other arrangements.
Shower was electric, a little underpowered, and in a cubicle that wouldn't have much room for a larger client than me (6'1" and 16 stone).
Bed was very comfortable.Parking and location were spot on for us.Excellent value.(We didn't have any food).
Skylight right above the head of the bed - quite noisy in the rain and bright early in the morning. Eyeshades will be needed to get a full night in within a few weeks as dawn gets earlier for summer.
Staff were excellent. Lovely, clean and tastefully decorated.
Due to it being in a pub, I didn't like the exit stairs to get in and out after hours but apart from that all excellent
