Pros +
- Staff was absolutely amazing, location was fantastic for exploring and walks. Room was spacious and well equipped. Having lovely breakfast served in the morning was a bonus.
- The location was good and the food was nice.
- So beautiful and in such a lovely town. Staff were exceptional, warm, helpful and efficient. Very comfortable and characterful rooms. Definitely will return.
Cons -
- The cars you could hear driving by during the night an early hours in the morning that kept waking us up.
- The room had damp on the ceiling and the room was not very clean.
- Decor perhaps a little tired. There is very little parking at the hotel. We parked in the main village car park which was ok out of season, however I wonder where you would park in high season.

Beautiful old building. Pretty decor and bedding in bedrooms.
Occasionally very loud traffic. Not hotel’s fault!
Excellent location to explore Northumberland. Great tasting food at dinner and breakfast offered a wide selection of otionsStaff were so warm and welcoming always happy to engage with a smile.Warm welcome.
Location was beautiful, food was good, and we enjoyed our two night stay, it was comfortable.
Hotel was a little tired looking and needs a refit.
Everything was very good, from accommodation, food and friendly staff, even bacon for our dog at breakfast time. Location is very good for dog walking, handy for beach walks, amongst other walks round the town, and all neighbouring pubs are dog friendly
There was an issue with our toilet flushing but didn't spoil our stay
The property was clean & well presented. Special thanks to June & Sharon, ‘the dream team’. Very friendly & great fun. The food was fab too. Highly recommend it.
Staff were lovely and it was always warm, the food was excellent
If I was to have a criticism about it it would be about the car park as it was a bit tight having said that I’ve got quite a large car.
All staff members were pleasant and helpful. Very dog friendly. Fantastic vegan and veggie menus. Very warm - underfloor heating in the bathroom. Plenty of space - a bar, lounge and a restaurant.
We booked a large double bed but our room only had a double size bed. I’ll ring to confirm next time.
Good location, xx lean and comfortable.
Some areas eg corridors need an uplift
SATISFACTORY BREAKFAST WE BOOKED ELSEWHERE FOR DINNER AS WE HAD BEEN TOLD BY FRIENDS THAT THE FOOD IN THE EVENING WAS NOT GREAT!
Very friendly staff. Fantastic evening meal and a brilliant selection of hot and cold food at breakfast.
Stayed in the cottage accommodation for a couple of nights, whilst visiting family in the area. Great location in the centre of Warkworth, with parking. Cottage was very spacious for the two of us and had everything you could need, on a self catering basis. Didn't use the hotel facilities.
So cosy. The bedroom was small but had all the necessary. The bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Very nice staff!
Very clean and comfortable Really fantastic staff. So welcomingA lovely place to stayParking Central location
Would have liked a lighter menu available for people with kidney or stoma conditions. This is nit talked about much so want to raise these increasing difficulties
The hotel was lovely, we had a down stairs room at the front and the traffic noise through out the night was a constant problem My partner complained to Sam at reception in the morning and the issue was dealt with very professionally with emapthy and a smile. Our new room and the hotel was excellent.
The one thing i was not impressed with was at Sunday breakfast the young lady serving at our table! My partner had asked for a slight combination for her meal salmon and scrambled eggs and was told she could only have one or the other I even offered to pay extra! When she then came back to take my order she stood a good 4 foot from the table I asked why she was so far away and to come closer, my full breakfast arrived with one and a half mushrooms cold tomato and hash brown. Never did receive my toast and had to go and ask for it. Not a patch on the Saturday morning service including food which was excellent so you can see why i was so disappointed Sunday morning. Sorry
Great breakfast super friendly staff nice warm bed
Right on a main road and a bit noisy as no double glazing too much furniture in the room. Modernising the room would correct this
Friendly staff, excellent food, including a good vegan menu for one of our group.
The parking was a bit tight to get into and my bedroom window let in the cold, although the heavy curtains helped.
