Pros +
- We loved this location. We were visiting Pitlochry and Glencoe and this hotel was somewhat in between. Walking distance from this hotel was a beautiful small lake/ fall with a bridge so you can take some pictures. COOP market in also a walking distance.
- Friendly helpful staff, good restaurant and excellent breakfast.
- The breakfast was very good and it was good we could select the evening before. We loved the location in the heart of the lovely village of Killin.
Cons -
- A lot of noise coming from people in the pub downstairs - somewhat understandable as it was a Saturday night. But the walls were paper thin and no efforts made to minimize guests disturbing each other e.g. Quiet signs and fixing the slamming front door.
- The hotel is quite an older building and therefore, it is noisy. There was a party and due to noise from other guests, we didn't have a great night's sleep. If you come here, bring earplugs.
- Our room was tiny and had very little room for us to put our suitcases on the floor let alone to unpack - we could barely walk around the room. What little surfaces available were taken up with items we were unlikely to use (like a tiny TV set). It was hard to access the outlets by the bed (though at least they had them). The shower was tiny and the sink has separate faucets for hot and cold, making it hard to get warm running water. They did have some shelving in the bathroom off to the side for our toiletries. The rooms are upstairs and there's no elevator, though the man on staff offered to carry our heavy bags up for us, which was nice. Overall, it was an old hotel with minimal amenities, not very comfortable.

This was our second time at the Courrie Inn. This independent hotel's atmosphere is cosy and the food is lovely with a great breakfast the next day. They're also very dog friendly which is nice.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served from 8-9 and you tell them ahead of time what time you want to eat and what you want to order. The food was fine.

Hospitality class apart. I love the hosts. They were so warm to us. Food was to die for?My compliments to chef for making amazing Srilankan Chicken curry. Very spacious room Clean.
Nothing. It was just perfect
Friendly helpful staff who held our table for us when we arrived 2 hours late due to an accident. Excellent food at dinner. Good location.
Our room was a little small but as we were only there for one night it didn't matter too much.
Really enjoyed a quick stay at the Courie Inn, great location, clean and comfortable room and friendly welcome to the hotel.
Lovely staff, nice rooms, and delicious food
Good location and excellent dinner - interesting menu, good range and very well presented. Very comfortable bed and friendly, efficient service.
The breakfast was disappointing…no cereal/fruit/yoghurt/bread if you chose a cooked option and our scrambled eggs were overcooked/rubbery. My ‘double room’ was fine for one person but would have been very tight for two, with one side of the bed against the wall.
Everything was immaculate from start to finish. The beds and shower were top notch and we had an excellent dinner in the bistro.
A lovely old building with a fresh look and use right in the heart of Killin. Great restaurant& friendly pub/lounge. 3 bed family room was spacious, bright& clean with space to sit and read.
It was amazing weather but a little chilly. It would have added to comfort & feel for the fire to be on in the pub & a bit warmer in the restaurant. Shame that coffee etc can’t be served after breakfast-3pm as a lovely outside front in the sun to have a coffee.
Fantastic breakfast and dinner, super friendly staff, very comfortable bed. Great location at the door step of Loch Tay. Highly recommend .
Very clean with super friendly and helpful staff. The place had a lovely vibe
Nothing really to say
We liked the location in the middle of the village. The owners and staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Both our rooms were clean, comfy beds and had plenty of tea & coffee. The bathroom had lovely toiletries and plenty of hot water with nice clean towels. All our meals were amazing. The hotel also catered for our 2 Scottie dogs. Parking was in front of the hotel. We will definitely be staying again and would recommend it as a hotel in Killin.
Absolutely nothing!
Lovely room. Really warm and friendly staff. A welcome for our dog. Good food and a cosy bar. Thank you.
Nothing!
Restuarant, good location
Rowdy folk in public bar later at night
Fabulous staff couldn't do enough for us. Lovely comfortable and cosy B&B. Amazing and delicious food, a lot of GF choices. Dog friendly too ! Will be back !!
There is nothing I can say I didn't like.
The Courie Inn is a real gem in the heart of the Southern Highlands. The hotel is well appointed and has an excellent bar and restaurant. The staff were lovely and the restaurant meals were superb. I found the full cooked Scottish breakfast an ideal start to a good day in the mountains. I shall certainly return.
Very welcoming. Small but comfortable room. Very nice dinner and breakfast. Off road parking. Friendly staff and good facilities.
