The Davron Hotel

Outstanding hotel from outside looks small but in side was great Staff very friendly and vivid aware.

Hotel was close to our search for LOCAL HERO movie sets. The room cost was reasonable and dinner could be added to overall cost. Complimentary breakfast was a plus.

We are seniors and carrying suitcases up two flights of stairs is getting harder!

Jane, one of the staff at the hotel, made the trip. She recommended places for us to stop and see that we would have never have guessed or known about. It is a treasure of a little hotel. The beds were a bit to firm for us, but that is minor in comparison to all the other advantages and pleasures of the property. Breakfast was great and the cooks know what they are doing. Great value for the price and highly recommend a stay. We got to see the Northern Lights!

I wanted to have a drink in the attached pub, but didn’t feel welcomed. Went to restaurant instead.

The Davron hotel was very comfortable. We had a room with a fantastic view of the water. The beds were very comfortable (if you like semi-firm). The complementary breakfast was outstanding. It's not often you get to select from the menu. All in all a pleasant stay.

There is no lift (not surprising given the date of the building), so we had to carry luggage up multiple flights of stairs. Just something to be aware of.

The breakfast was wonderful and the room was nice.

The room was a bit warm. We also had to lug our luggage upstairs, but understandable since the building is old and doesn't/couldn't have an elevator.

Great location, the food was fantastic - highly recommend the steak pie! All the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Everyone is so friendly, the room was spacious and spotless. The restaurant is a gem with excellent food. The location is beautiful- you must go for a walk along the beach

The staff was outstanding, and the food was exceptional. Moreover, the hotel was very clean and there was much attention to detail.

The receptionist was very cheerful, helpful and gave all relevant information, then I was shown to my room. Hotel looked to have undergone renovation and so the room was clean and fresh. Extra pillows in the wardrobe along with iron and ironing board, additional plug in heater etc. In all very well appointed as was the bathroom. Food in the restaurant was superb and reasonably priced, served by helpful, cheerful staff. Breakfast has a good offering to suit everyone and is served very quickly. In all a great stay. I will certainly use again in future.

Very clean and comfortable room. Felt safe as a single female traveller. Breakfast was great and the restaurant and staff were fantastic.

Staff were all so friendly and went out of their way for us. We had 3 rooms all travelling for work and all rooms were spotless.The restaurant was excellent, food superb and breakfast had a really good choice and all freshly cooked.

Some noise from the bar but it closed at 11pm so didn't disturb our sleep.

We are regular guests, we enjoy the hotel and all its features. The reception is always friendly and answers any questions we have. The room is always very clean and warm when we arrived. We had dinner in the restaurant (fantastic gluten free options, we recommend the fish), breakfast was lovely, well prepared, tasted fantastic (gluten free options). We will continue to return to The Davron, it is our lovely get away in the north. Thank you so much your hospitality.

Had a wonderful stay at The Davron Hotel! I was pleasantly surprised by the cozy room, the warm and friendly staff, and the best breakfast I’ve had so far. The cinnamon porridge was absolutely delicious, and the full cooked breakfast, complete with the tastiest haggis and black pudding, was a real treat. Thank you for a memorable experience!
