Michelangelos - Rooms, Restaurant & Bar

Clean and tidy, lovely and comfortable. Very friendly staff, welcoming and lovely for families with dogs. Great restaurant and extremely tasty breakfast.

Breakfast was lovely and fresh and lots of choice

Bathroom was dirty plug holes

Food was well priced - great value for money. Breakfast was included and also good.

Shower was not very good - both dials seemed to only turn it on/off - with no temperature change noticed with either, it also cut out a few times completely before working for 10minutes (was scared to stay any longer in-case it cut off again).

We hadn't really expected more than a basic hotel for our short stay to attend a friend's party locally. However, we were absolutely blown away by this little gem. The rooms were large and well equipped, shower mediocre but good enough, bed extremely comfortable and all clean as a whistle. Some of our party of six stayed in large family rooms with space and beds enough for a family, which means we'll be back with the grandkids in tow next time. The added bonus was the attached fabulous Italian restaurant, with a vast menu, wonderful food, and even well catered for the gluten free member of our party, which was unexpected. Breakfast the following morning was great. The staff from check in through to departure were all smiling, happy, helpful, and this in itself made our stay even better. Thank you.

The shower could have been better, but it wasn't the worst we've used. There was nothing else negative to report.

Booked for a birthday meal and the whole experience of rooms and restaurant was great. Lovely helpful friendly staff .we all had a fantastic stay.

The staff were extremely friendly and breakfast was lovely. The beds were lovely, clean and comfortable meaning I got a good night sleep. As it was a family room, it was nice to see 2 singles and a double rather than 2 doubles as the children are at an age where sharing a bed isn't comfortable any more so this was a big bonus to them.

The room was a bit cold, even with the heating on and the water for the bath took a while to warm up but once we got it going it was hot

Have stayed here on multiple occasions, busy restaurant with good food comfortable generous room & bathroom

Unfortunately experienced freak plumbing problem that wasn't simple to fix.Apologies to the other guests for no hot water!!

Rooms comfortable and Restaurant amazing food

WiFi was shocking and the Bar limited on draught beers

The Restaurant was excellent, great food, excellent service and at the price expected, ambient feel of Restaurant was excellent.

Bed was way too low to the ground and was absolutely not big enough for my wife & I which created it's own issues. The lock on the doors were loose and in need of repair and room unusually hot.

Friendly and welcoming staff.Room great size, clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast with plenty options

Nothing. Only feedback as an observation, have the mirror close to an electrical point as ladies need to be able to see themselves when doing hair etc. room no2.

Lovely big room, en-suite with a bath and great breakfast. Staff very good. Value for money 100%.

Signage for where to check in, its a large area. Also one of the bedside tables was missing in room 1. Nothing major though and we enjoyed our stay.

Great facilities, friendly staff, lovely food, excellent value! Would definitely recommend!

Nothing!

The staff were fantastic, very pleasant, helpful & nothing was a bother to them. The restaurant was very busy in the evening with an event on & Christmas parties, there were no issues as the staff all knew what they were doing & were still smiling & joking with us after what looked like an exhausting shift. The rooms were very modern and the beds were very comfortable. We ate dinner and breakfast here and both were fantastic, one of our party did not attend breakfast and the owner arranged for breakfast rolls to be made to takeaway with us. There is a co-op store very close by, coffee shops around 5 mins drive and bus stop directly outside the hotel which is ideal for getting around if you don't drive.

Nothing could have been better, I booked this as a cheap overnight as we were coming from Scotland to Newcastle for shopping trip however it exceeded our expectations.

Clean and tidy easy access to rooms and resteraunt.

Room was large and the bed was comfy. Car park is spacious and the staff were v nice. Dog friendly also a plus ??

The room was a little dusty and there was a white mark down the side of the bed which made it look unclean even though I’m sure it wasn’t

The rooms are spacious, well presented and clean, lovely continental breakfast and cooked breakfast, good value for money. Having the bar and restaurant next door is handy but didn't use it, also walking distance to Ryton and bus stop outside.

The main let down was the shower, shower head needs replacing and works off the bath taps and there was no pressure on the cold water which meant it was boiling hot shower or cold & trickling out, did mention it next day but wasn't resolved that night. Switches near the beds for the lights in the room would be more handy than at the front door and bedside table on both sides needed, with better location of plug sockets.
