Lanhydrock Hotel & Golf Club

The lady who checked us in when we arrived was super friendly and helpful. I found the bar staff to be a little curt. Breakfast starts at 730am and we arrived around 820am so much needed restocking

when i asked for coffee from the machine in the bar area the staff pushed back and suggested i drink the coffee from the machine in the room. which was not great since all the others were being given coffee from the machine i wanted coffee from.

WHEN BOOKING WE BOOKED WITH 2 ADULTS AND TWO KIDS AND PAID BUT THE HOTEL DID NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND WE HAD TO PAY EXTRA FOR KIDS .

Didn't have time for golf !

Breakfast was good and the evening meal was good

The beds were very narrow and pillows very hard

Checked into Hotel late on in the evening after a long journey.The Staff where great allowing myself and work colleagues to get our Evening Meal before the Hotel Kitchen closed.Excellent of them for enabling this.

Everything was Excellent.

The bed was very comfortable.

The pillows made it very difficult to get comfortable and we had to keep changing them to try and get some sleep.

A great hotel to stay with, such a clean, well looked after place, and the staff were very friendly

Second time staying at this hotel. Room, facilities, staff and food all very good.

Beautiful setting and accessibility

I checked menus as my friend is Vegan and there was little to nothing for Vegans. The staff however were very obliging and put a Vegan option on their specials board the evening of our stay. Likewise at breakfast staff got the kitchen to combine some available options to suit my Vegan friend so full marks for that

Comfortable room with great views of the course and countryside excellent food and drink at reasonable prices and very helpful and friendly staff

Nothing all very good

The food was fantastic if a little large. The room was cold but we put the heater on and it soon wormed up. The real issue I had was the pillows they were very flat and hard so didn’t get much sleep

The rooms were clean and modern with a nice view over the golf course

Unfortunately there was a larger party due in the dinning room so we had to eat in the bar area, normally wouldn’t be a problem but we had booked this for our anniversary so disappointing and made worse by one part of the meal been missed and then when the tour party came there were many of tables that were free and unoccupied that could have been used as they were at breakfast the following morning so if not a problem in the morning why in the evening. It spoilt the trip for us and made it disappointing.

The hotel was clean and well maintained. The grounds are beautifully kept with lovely views across the golf course. The staff were excellent - very welcoming and friendly.

The food was really good and the staff very helpful, particularly helping with my luggage to and from my car.

The disabled parking places could be nearer the entrance because there is a lot of space but the current spaces are really too far away and 'up an incline, but there is a lot of space outside the door into recrption.

Breakfast was good and good choice .Room was good , would have been better if it had a safe in the room but otherwise good.the room was slightly lacking on drawers as we were staying for 3 nights . It had a trouser press but no ironing board or iron , which would have been useful.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.Food was good.

Friendly helpful staff, stunning location, excellent facilities, wonderful food, plenty of parking, accessible with a walker. We will definitely be staying again.

There was nothing to not like.

Wonderful place to stay. Lovely clean, well-equipped room, lovely food and every single member of staff was friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Jane in the 19 Bar and Bistro for making our stay so nice.

Loved the food and the course, staff were great, room was pleasent with a great view

Furniture in the clubhouse was dated and for a Saturday was very very quite

The publc areas were well kept and well staffed.

The bathroom was showing its age, cracked glaze on sink and fading grouting. The pillows were too hard.Non-breakfast options would be good.

Room was a good size, with everything we needed, and double doors opened on to a beautiful golf course. Also, it was very quiet , despite there being lots of people staying
