Cons -
- Hotel employee was a real character
- At first accommodation looked clean but bottom of Iron was black, tray in oven was full of fat, wardrobe door was off and the toilet cistern handle broke. When opening the bathroom door it would hit into the utility door. The accommodation was BASIC,! No extra blankets or little extras to make it comfortable. No milk in the fridge, teabags or coffee, salt, pepper or lighter to lighter the gas oven.

Great location, breakfast, and parking.
Couldn’t get wi-fi to work.
Staff was exceptional as was the breakfast. Didn't have have supper. Location was good place for our trip. Facility was clean. Price was reasonable for the facility.
It's not that I didn't like anything. I anticipated that it would be an older building. It has been maintained in good condition. I did have trouble with the toilet in the room I was in. It took numerous tries for paper to flush. I am use to buttons as I have the same at my home. I still had trouble flushing toilet paper. The shower was adequate but might be easier to use if replaced with a newer one. It could be the same as the existing one just a newer model.
Great value family and dog friendly place to stay in a beautiful part of Cornwall!
Eatery on PremisesComfortable bedCooked a lovely breakfast
No air-conditioning- think standard in UK?Thick doonas- we only sleep with top sheet onPillows too thick
Barman (owner) was brilliant. Really friendly and helpful. Bar prices reasonable and good open bar area. Room was comfortable, bed exceptionally so.
Breakfast not good. Coffee was truly abysmal, wholly tasteless. Small cooked breakfast and sausages tasted off. Ruined a good stay.
Location, size of apartment
Washer was broken, cabinet drawers were in disrepair. Drapes were broken from ring holders in bedroom. There were no shampoo or soaps provided as is standard or so we thought.
Friendly staff, large room, quiet, good food at the bar
Tub shower
Staff extremely helpful. Room was large with views of the Atlantic (in the distance) and moor.
We had a nice big room, staff were great, good shower, nice breakfast nice view from our room, nice beer, all good really
our accomodation c, uld have done with a couple of odd jobs doing, loose tap in bathroom , but it all worked and was very comfortable.
Lovely room, we were made to feel really welcome by everyone at The Poldark Inn.Very informal and comfortable bar area. Given some "Top Tips" by the barman as to the best footpath to use for a Coast Path walk.
Beautiful surroundings, lovely rooms and friendly staff.
Friendly staff, comfortable beds
Basic menu, a bit in the middle of nowhere
The Poldark met all expectations. It's not an expensive place to stay, it's a dated place but extremely comfortable, staff were really friendly. Breakfast exceeded expectations, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans and toast and all great. Beautiful surrounding views. I will be staying again.
Nothing I disliked, it was exactly as I expected for the price, so all good.
The Poldark Inn provided everything we needed in a comfortable, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Excellent value, good food, spacious and clean room, comfy bed, friendly hosts and a great location for sightseeing seeing and exploring this part of Cornwall.
The hosts were lovely and our superior room was spacious. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
It would have been nicer if there were a few vegan options on the dinner menu. One minor thing would be that the TV in the double room was very small so it was hard to watch anything.
The Poldark is a good value for money pub to stay in. The dinner was a good home cooked meal and breakfast was delicious. It was a no frills accommodation choice and it was quiet, clean and comfortable
Owners Adrian and Tracey most welcoming and helpful, especially given the bad weather of our arrival. Parking no problem, room great, giving us easy ground floor access, so beautifully quiet. Good food.
Can't blame the weather!
