The Windmill Hotel - Alford

This is a beautiful hotel. Big room and great facilities for the money. Centre of the small market town. Staff were so good and the bar and food available were delicious.

Nothing. I really can’t complain. It was great.

The room was very spacious and had a good view.

The room looked quite dated and there were hairs on the towels and in the bath

it was just ok

No toilet paper had to buy some .. no maid service.. no reception staff tried on 3 occasions to ring the bell and response.. no hairdryer and other items listed not there.. sorry but very overpriced!! Would not stop there again .

Great location.

Thick cobwebs in the room, pretty run down in general, black mould over the window frames, the mattress awful, the toilet and chair in the room need a thorough clean (they’ve been surface cleaned but are filthy round the edges)… the whole place needs a thorough deep clean.

The windmill doesn't yet have facilities for food but are planning to resume that. This isn't a problem as it's in the very centre of Alford and has at least half a dozen cafes and takeaways within a 2 minute walk or 20 seconds in the case of Evangelenes Patisserie which I recommend. Overall a great stay with great staff.

We loved our stay here. The hotel is in a fantastic location and has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very well presented, and the staff were outstanding – friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful throughout our stay

Nothing at all – everything was great

The location was good and we had the whole first floor

It needs updating. There was holes in the wall and the mattresses was so bad . The doors squeaked and woke us all up The main door is locked and only 1 key was given

Staff were really helpful and efficient.

There's no restaurant at the moment which would have made it the perfect stay. But there was a lovely tearoom just around the corner.

Brilliant little gem of a place. Upgraded to the bigger room and well worth it. Facilities great and the staff were brilliant too, very welcoming and helpful.

We loved our short stay at The Windmill, happily our dog a small cockapoo was welcomed in too.The hotel had a recent refurbishment and it looks great, the room was clean and beautifully decorated with a large family bathroom. The beds were super comfy and plenty of covers, pillows and towels provided.The staff were super friendly and helpful.Allowed us to get a take away for food as the hotel had not set up catering as yet. I would definitely use this hotel again, and would recommend.

Just the fat no food could be obtained upon our arrival and as it was a Sunday evening choices were limited. Pizza/ Chinese take away. Sadly we don’t enjoy the take away at all so wouldn’t opt for that again. And would double check if foodIs being served or stop earlier for food before arrival. Apart from that nothing negative to say about our short stay and would stay again.

The location for our needs was perfect, our rooms spacious hospitality and bar allowed us to bring in take out food

i liked the overall comfort and very easy approach from the staff which where excellentMain thing was it was very clean

food would have been nice but there are some nice eating places within walking distance
