We have stayed at this location before. It's a very nice Motel 6. It's not like staying in a 4 star hotel. It's like staying in a nice Motel 6 with clean rooms and helpful people. And that is what it is.

Top Tips
- Book major-event stays, such as during the Dixon May Fair (late April to early May), at least 6-8 weeks in advance. Rates increase by 25-35% due to high demand and limited hotel inventory. Compare refundable rates to lock in savings and flexibility, as most cancellation policies require changes 24-48 hours before check-in.
- Add a 12-15% tax to nightly hotel rates in Dixon. This includes state occupancy tax and local fees, generally amounting to $15 extra per night. Confirm the full total before booking to avoid checkout surprises.
- Stay 0.5-2 miles from downtown Dixon or the fairgrounds for easier access to top dining and attractions, while reducing I-80 noise. Verify shuttle availability or on-demand transport if your hotel is beyond walking distance, especially when traveling with children or guests with mobility needs.
- Check Wi-Fi speeds upon arrival if you plan to work remotely. Most Dixon hotels deliver 50-75 Mbps, which is sufficient for HD video calls. If you require uninterrupted bandwidth, request a premium internet option if available or confirm speeds during off-peak hours.
- Request a room with dedicated air conditioning and a fan from June through September, as Dixon temperatures commonly reach 90-100°F (32-38°C). Some older motels may not offer modern cooling; ask about upgraded rooms or accessible accommodations if temperature control is a priority.
