The Kimpton Sawyer is located in the downtown area and is within easy walking distance of the historic area and the main museums (although the Automobile Museum is a long walk away). The hotel has large clean rooms, good facilities (including a decent restaurant within the building, albeit under different ownership) and helpful staff.
A significant proportion of the hotel's guess probably stay in connection with business and the hotel has the feel of many business hotels around the world (i.e. it is a bit impersonal and lacks character).

Great location, nice amenities and facilities but be aware you are charged an amenity fee of $25.00 as part of the booking cost so you are paying for them.
Unfortunately had two separate instances of the hotel charging me in error. I had to reach out and contact them on both charges to request they be reversed. Luckily I was paying attention to my card statement. The staff were quick to respond and correct the charges thankfully, but for the amount I was paying to stay here, I would have hoped this would have been avoided. Check your charges from this hotel after your stay!

The Location is fantastic, and the rooms are huge with gorgeous views of the city. The staff is so friendly and helpful.
We've stayed here before and this time the rate was maybe 3 times the amount we usually pay. Just seemed really expensive.

The location is amazing. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Lots of nice touches at the hotel like the nightly happy hour. And the hot chocolate for the kids is great.
Charging for parking.
