The property was lovely. Decor was lovely.

The windows in room didn’t close fully. The cleaner didn’t change the towels when left in the bath. There were cobwebs in the corners. My room didn’t have a slip of paper stating the internet password. Our rooms were above the bar which late at night was very loud so maybe you could remind visitors to be a bit more quiet after a certain time.

Well appointed and decorated and staff lovely. Bed very comfortable and sheets good quality. Breakfast a nice selection

Shower in one of our rooms did not work and water was cold. But there seemed to be a problem with the heating as rooms cold even though radiators were on. Lots of extra heaters around

The location is perfectly central.The hotel felt very fancy yet cosy at the same time.The staff were helpful, friendly and fast.And the personal touches they had put in for Valentines day were beautiful!Couldn't fault it

Some of the decor is really nice and its in a great location. Breakfast was good. The room was OK. The power of the shower was amazing. The bed was comfortable.

Overall, the hotel is starting to feel dated, and it shouldn't be. Throughout the corridors and my room, it smelled stale, not horrendously, but its off putting. It would only take some high quality air fresheners to fix that. For a single room, the bathroom was adequate in size, but it was quite difficult to get in and out of the bath/shower, due to a large glass screen on the side of the bath. I nearly slipped getting in and out.There was no communication between me making the booking and arriving, I had to call the day before to double check they had my booking.At no point did anyone try to upgrade me, even though the hotel was empty, and I would've paid a little extra for a double bed/room.It feels like the current owners are very inexperienced.

The breakfast was really good. There was a variety of things to eat. The room was very clean with everything in it to make it comfy, It was warm as well.

The only thing that I thought could be better is a choice of different teas in the room as there was only one to choose from.

Not much more to say, the staff where great food was great and the drinks very well priced.An altogether great experiance.Thank you, I will be back.

The staff were all very welcoming, the location is great and walkable to everything in the village. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant, 5 of us all very happy with our choices. We had drinks in the bar and later sat by the log fire. The mattresses are comfortable- 3 bedrooms and we all said we slept well. Warm and cosy.

Only comment would be our bathroom needed a bit of an upgrade in 134 but we enjoyed our stay and would certainly be back.

Location was spot on and the hotel was nice and quiet. Best hotel shower we have ever had, powerful and instantly hot. Breakfast was buffet style but pretty decent. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Corridors and room were rather tired, scratched melamine units in the bedroom had seen better days. No heating in the bathroom, not even a towel rail made it a bit chilly. No atmosphere in the huge and echoey dining room, a real school canteen vibe

Room was at back of hotel, so view was a flat roof, but it was only 1 night so it didn't bother us.

Value for money definitely. Location great couldn’t be improved. The room itself was good, the bathroom was the weak point.

The bathroom was constantly cold. Stepping onto a cold floor to just use the facilities was not pleasant and nothing we did could take the chill off. The breakfast could improve. The ingredients were good but the meal by the time you got to the table was lukewarm. Just need to improve that aspect and it would be good.

As it was a one-night stay didn't expect too much. However, the room was a good size, warm, with a comfortable bed. Bar stayed open late and didn't push us to go. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Staff friendly and helpful.

Bedside lights were pretty useless (way too small, could not have read in bed if I'd wanted). Clambering over the side of the bath to have a shower is not pleasant when you are older and less agile.

Great hotel in a nice location. Clean bright and friendly.

There was no blind or curtain in the bathroom of room 133 so couldn’t take a shower in the evening. Breakfast had a good choice but not enough staff.

Nothing. I've always booked elsewhere because the car park is always empty but the hotel is very good and will stay there again
