Pros +
- We were greeted on arrival by friendly staff, who helped with answering all our queries. I chose the hotel due to its close proximity to the location we were due to visit and restaurants within walking distance.
- Charming to the nth degree. And Hotel Employee was amazingly kind. Beautiful room in a very central location. Excellent price too.
- Refurbished nicely since my last visit. New bathroom fittings etc. Good quality linen and towels. Good value in centre of town with good reserved parking for overnight guests.
Cons -
- It is a pub so expect a little late night noise although I was above the bar and it didnt stop me getting a restful early night. On the plus side there is no road noise unlike other options.
- Room a little dated now but it was still comfortable
- Rooms could have been a little cleaner (dust cobwebs hanging from the ceiling). Also could hear music and loud talking from the bar below the room.

Love cation ideal for Cadwell Park
Room a little dated now but it was still comfortable
Good value for money, Good location ready for a trip to Caldwell park 10min drive away. Private parking to the rear of the hotel free of charge.
Rooms could have been a little cleaner (dust cobwebs hanging from the ceiling). Also could hear music and loud talking from the bar below the room.
Despite the room being above the pub, the room was really quiet and I was not disturbed and I had a very restful night. I slept very well. The bed was very comfortable. I didnt have breakfast in the hotel.
no complaints.
Loved the town of Louth
The room smelt of damp and the bathroom had tiles all missing around the bath leaving rough edges to catch your feet on, also the stairs up to the room was quite steep.
Location and clean, big size of the room
Everything was spot on till 20 00. Then, hell started for 4 hours, finishing 24 00!The room is just above a karaoke bar! The room floor did not isolate against noise, so imagining how it had been in that room for 4hrs!!!
Comfortable bed, clean and warm good size room with hot shower, great central location
Excellent location, easy check in, reserved parking lovely room with everything you needed and clean. Really good value for what you pay.
very comfortable room, clean, plenty of room,
very comfortable room, did say online about iron facilities but none in room, one or two night very noisy as room was by the alley, could hear through the floor boards
Room 3 was clean, and a lot larger than expected. Bathroom was very clean, and the shower was large with decent water pressure. Parking was easy at the back of the pub. You could hear the pub from the room, but this stopped at 11pm. Pub itself was nice, and cheap. Staff were great, with many recommendations for food options in town. Also we were in town for a funeral and the staff allowed us to use the room to get changed in even after checkout. No complaints at all.
Nothing to report.
Nice large room, dated but very comfortable and nice and warm. Private parking and very central for everything.
Staff really friendly right in the centre nice big room excellent
Central
An extremely comfortable en-suite bedroom with a kettle located centrally in a lovely town with the benefit of an allocated parking space
If food had been available on the premises it would have been an added bonus
Great central location in the heart of the town so great for shopping during the day and pubs, bars and restaurants at night Karaoke in the pub till midnight was great fun so if you like a quiet night in it’s not for you ! Allocated parking at the rear of the property which is brilliant
Couldn’t fault it
Being in a central location
Room was very small. Very dusty. Bedsheets had stains on. Shower was not even finished off, great big gap underneath. Room smelt very fusty..Very uncomfortable bed
Fantastic pub , friendly and welcoming staff Rooms very clean a little tired in decor but an old building so to be expected. Great central location with allocated parking. Karaoke till midnight was great fun. Would definitely stay again
Decor a little tired
Very clean and tidy. Let us go in early. Good location.
Noisy karoke but it is a pub!!!
our car parking space was clearly reserved, the welcome from the staff member warm and friendly. The room was large and spacious, which meant the sound travelled well from downstairs.
KARAOKE & LIVE MUSIC - where the write up says 'the accommodation provides karaoke and free wifi throughout the property' they aren't joking... the awful singing and banging tunes, from all genres, can be heard through every room upstairs, so if you want to rest or sleep, this isn't the place for you. When others have commented about the hot water, they clearly didn't have the room we were in. The temperature wasn't something we could comment on as the flow was so incredibly slow it was laughable. We paid for three nights and packed after the first - only coming back because snow was forecast and much as we'd have happily slept in the car, we'd paid for this 'experience' ... amazingly the cleaner spent over an hour and a half in our room the following day - nothing to clean, but she clearly liked our room!
