Location. Room. Bed. Breakfast.
No food to order in restaurant or bar, due to large cycling party. Perhaps a warning email would have helped!
Rooms with seaviews, short walk to a great, newly decorated cafe, close to the beach front. Nice staff ( with the exception of one) great breakfast, food not bad either
Just one member of staff spoils this place for us. Same person every visit. I also dont appreciate being told I can't eat because I hadn't ordered in advance. Guests dont seem to have any privileges.
Nice welcome, staff and bar meals good.Refurbished room good and warm. Will come again soon.
Nothing really.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, explained things clearly on checking in and when contacting before stay. Room was clean and spacious, fabulous shower and comfy beds.
Great location! Modern rooms. Great facilities! Lovely bar! Breakfast was good even had OAT milk!
My room was 107 the room was amazing the view was stunning the only issue was the window doesn’t close/seal properly so it was extremely drafty and loud with the sea breeze and wind.
The location of the hotel on the seafront was excellent. Fabulous sea view (well it would have been if the windows had been clean!), I do understand that the environment is the main cause of dirty windows and that they were unlikely to be cleaned between Christmas and New Year, but it was the first thing I noticed.Generally the menus, were varied and interesting, the portions of food were enormous, the hot food was served hot (which is often not the case in many places nowadays). Room service was offered daily.
A few hours prior to arrival, I had been informed that the lift was out of order. I reminded staff that due to mobility and breathing issues I had booked a ground floor room. I was told it wasn't available due to "boiler issues"! On enquiry, I was informed that there were only 8 stairs to the first floor. When we arrived, I noticed there was a stair lift, but was not invited to use this facility, as it looked totally unused I didn't pursue the option. There were in fact 2 lots of 8 steps and the room I had been moved to was at the end of a long corridor, causing quite distressing physical problems for me. I decided to rest for the afternoon, but the noise from both an upstairs room and a room next to ours was continuous and loud, it is a dog friendly hotel, but the constant noise created by the dog/s was unbelievable. Thankfully this only occurred on the 1st night (Saturday). My booking had been for a Superior king size room, but the room we were given did not appear to be superior, it was clean and adequate. The newly refurbished bathroom, had a hook missing from the back of the door (noticeable by the holes left behind, and the mirror was on a wall beside the wash basin, making it very difficult to use.
The location and the Food...The waitresses and bar staff very friendly and helpful.
Having to swap rooms twice having not been allocated the room we had booked. Decor definitely needed looking at.
Very good breakfast. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. The location was magnificent. The food at dinner was very good and a good selection.
The first night the room was cold. Got warmer the second night.
Modern, clean and good food
No bin in bathroom or glasses for drinking
Room was good size and shower was excellent
Hallway was very cold outside bedroom door
Location, the staff were very welcoming. My room was clean, warm and comfortable.
Family rooms are fantastic for space
Loud on a night when there was a party
The men being the bar were wonderful. The location is amazing
Saturday night..weekend away and over £200 for a meal and being asked the leave the bar at 9.30 because "if there's less than 5 people in the bar they close" That's ok for a regulars pub but this is a hotel and people pay good money to stay there and have their holiday... theres nothing else local so be be sent to our room at 9.30 in a Saturday is a joke. You want more people in?... put an act on .put music on.. make it worth coming to. Food ... its ok. Not worth the price (breakfast good but evening meal not worth it) Order at the bar? Starter to main no cutlery replaced unless asked to, meals arrive for part of the party and 20 minutes later the other meals arrive. They should all arrive together!! Young waitress didn't smile onceRoom...dogs poo on the patio outside our room, guests before us left their review Sheet on the dressing table and it wasnt moved... if this wasn't changed what else is left unchanged? We've stayed here 7 times this year and this was the worst room..bed was broken, mould in the bathroom, there was a dirty disgusting rotten patio chair outside the room.
Location. Good food although didn’t have everything we ordered.
Very small room and very uncomfortable bed. 3/4 bed in a single room☹️
We attended a wedding so it was quite noisy. Basic rooms with what is required.Kettle with nescafe little milk sachets and biscuits. Once radiator was turned on it was a warm room.Shampoo and shower gel provided.
No usb socketsNo bottle of waterThe stair lift wasn't working
Great location right next to the beach, super helpful staff really made you feel welcome
Some areas of decor a little tired
The hotel is clean and very welcoming and in the most perfect location with stunning views with plenty of parking. The hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating, nothing was too much bother. We had a lovely meal in the evening which was freshly cooked to order and tasted delightful. Breakfast was delicious also.
WiFi in some parts of the hotel was weak in places . I liked everything!!
