    Pros +

    • Great hotel and service. Pool was great.
    • Loved the pool and steam rooms. Loved the location. Easy acess to waterworld and shopping centre
    • Easily accessible, rooms were very clean and spacious

    Cons -

    • Small window to use the pool and you have to book!
    • No changing rooms in the pool, making you walk troughout the hotel in swimming costumes/ wet costume.
    • Blinds kept the light out from the window but the hallway lights were very bright and spilled in around the door to the room making it difficult to sleep. I cannot sleep when there is light coming in so I slept very poorly It would be good if the hall lights turned off or were at least dimmed at night

Spacious room, comfortable mattress, plenty of pillows, good shower, decent breakfast buffet, friendly staff, good location for visiting the Potteries, Titanic brewery and other Stoke attractions. Loads of parking spaces, and £7.50/night is not a bad rate for parking.

Bottled water in the room would have been nice.

The Swimming pool Steam and Sauna

In the evening it was very busy with the children and family in the swimming pool.

I had a really lovely stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Stoke. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming and genuinely helpful.A special mention has to go to Jane on reception, who was absolutely wonderful friendly, attentive and made the whole experience feel very nice. The hotel itself was spotless throughout, and the interior was actually much nicer than I expected. Everything felt clean, comfortable and well looked after, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the stay.A big thank you to the team for such a pleasant visit I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

It was easy to get to

The shower leaked, there were stains on the bedding, big queues in reception then the staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing resulting in numerous parking charges being debited from my card, Booked the restaurant for a meal, when we arrived downstairs the restaurant was closed and we had to eat in the bar. The food was edible but overpriced. Breakfast was incredibly busy, we had to wait for ages to be seated and the buffet was only half full

I had hoped to use the pool on Sunday, and that was the rerason OI chose this hotel. We discovered that the pool was closed to adults between 11.00 and 15.00 hrs for children lessons. That was the only time I had free to swim.It was a major disappointment/annoyance and made me disatisfied with the hotel.

Very nice warm on a very cold night

Entrance to the rear signage not good

Fine, although very busy and not complete selection due to few staff seemingly on duty. Room for three quite spacious and sufficient. Swimming pool and sauna/steam room good although pool soon became very busy. Xmas Day meal previously booked and was excellent, food and service, and indeed attention, very good

    As above

    Good location

Noisy road, window would not close properly

    8RobertPosted on: 1-4-2026

Room was very clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was quite expensive for what is was. My partner also left a present bag in error but there is no sign of it.

Liked the room, the facilities and the breakfast

Water flow in the shower was very low, water leak around the shower, room curtains and blinds stuck in position. Only two lifts in the hotel, one wasn't working for the duration of our stay, which was a very busy holiday period.

    10TinaPosted on: 1-1-2026

Very clean with warm welcoming by staff. Parking is available for less than £8 per stay. Swimming pool and the gym on site.

    10CherylPosted on: 1-1-2026

Lovely room, super friendly staff. Dinner was delicious followed by a great breakfast the next morning

    10ReynoldsPosted on: 1-1-2026

Staff were very welcoming. Food in the restaurant although pricey was very nice and the breakfast was fantastic. Rooms were clean with enough space for the 4 of us.

I did not like that after all the money we were spending on the hotel room and food that we had to pay for parking, I cannot see the justification for that.

    5ElizabethPosted on: 12-30-2025

    We did not have breakfast.

On arrival ( Xmas day evening) the bar was closed. It was late when my mum and sister arrived ( around 22:00), but still, they expected to be able to get a drink. The person in charge said 'the barman wants to go home and be with his family like everyone else on Xmas day' ; of course he does.. but first of all he did not need to be so sarcastic and secondly, it's a hotel! I eventually got them a soft drink each from a begrudging member of staff. Apparently room service could deliver drinks, for an extra cost, which is rather unfair. On the corridor near the room ( Level 2, room 222) my mother and sister were approached by a person who asked for money to pay for the room. My mum is 80 years old and was very scared. When reporting the incident, the staff said 'he's always doing it' .. I did not want my family members to stay in a hostel on Xmas day night, I wanted them to stay in a hotel. I think this is a reasonable thing to expect. When collecting them on Boxing Day, I was charged for parking (the disabled bay, I might add) even though I had entered my registration details into the database. Apparently the parking is free when booked directly with the hotel, but chargeable when booked through Booking.com; this was not clear. I live in Stoke On Trent and often have friends visiting but I will not use this hotel again.

    Clean, comfortable and friendly

I think maybe to use room card for lift as anyone could get to the rooms not that we had any problems
