Sneyd Arms Hotel Tunstall

Questions as to the cleaniness was not attended to. I had to wash the shared smelly and messy shared toilet myself. No provision made available. The staff on duty was very lackadaisical and unwelcomiunwe. l've never seen that in my years of traveling.

Really Painful....

The windows dont close. Bins not emptied, dirty towels on bed, fag ash on the bed, rotten food in the hall way. Most doors have been kicked in and locks replaced with dead bolts

I wasn't able to stay in this accommodation as it was so poor. I know you get what u pay for, but the pictures on the site did not match the rooms at all. They refused to give me a refund.Booking.com were useless regarding a refund too

The woman I spoke to on the phone in the afternoon was lovely and helpful. It was cheap. But honestly I wouldn’t say it was worth it !

The stairs and hallways smelled strongly of urine. The staff on arrival were not welcoming or friendly. There was a window panel missing in the room which was half covered with a piece of wood. There was no kettle or tea or coffee provided in the room as per photos ect. We had to clean the bath before using. There was no curtain covering the window so when you are showering or bathing you are in the window. The bedding wasn’t clean there was a hair on the pillow.

No breakfast?

Curtains hanging off the rail towels in the shower toilet paper in the other shower. We had a kettle but no cups to make a drink

Not worth the money

Rubbish left in the room from previous visitors. There is no light in the bathroom. Windows didn't shut all the way, and the room was freezing all night. The carpets were very strained. Smelt damp in the room, too.

Nothing at all, very very poor!!!

This has to be the worst property and experience we've ever had to endure, to the point where we couldn't bring ourselves to stay there on the 2nd night, we had to find alternative accommodation, I didn't want to go back to the hotel on the Sunday so we just collected our belongings on the Monday morning to check out.Staff very intimidatingFelt very scared and didn't feel very safe in the whole experience, we even put items up against the door from the inside to feel a little more safe on the first night.

I felt unsafe. No locks on bathroom doors. Lots of shouting and altercations outside of my room. Someone came into my room. Toilets were filthy. Staff in the morning was rude and aggressive - I left really early

We booked a room with a bath had no bath the window didn't close had wires to tie it shut the room smelt of wee the heating didn't work kids playing cricket in halls ended up walking out and driving 3 hrs back home so we didn't stay staff didn't want yo sort out. Apparently the hotel.houses refugees in the hotel which is clearly not stated on booking.com

Terrible bed, staines all over the floor and walls, lights didn’t work and smelled very very bad

The lady at the desk was lovely that was the only good thing.

Staff are great, as we're most of the other residents I met. Atmosphere improved now bar has Re-opened.

My last three rooms (or is it four?) HAVEN'T HAD A TV, which I consider essential!

Great Location

Very dated, wallpaper hanging off the walls, unclean, a dirty glass on the side of the dirty bath when we checked in, the bin had the previous guests rubbish in, no toiletries, had someone’s half used shower gel on the window sill, no toilet paper, had a kettle but no cups or tea/coffee available, floors were filthy. I understand that you get what you pay for & it is a cheap hotel but surely it could be improved!!

A decent Comfy bed. Bathroom with shower and sizable room. Quite quiet from downstairs pub after 8/9pm. The room is decent on price. I just needed a place to stay.

Got woken up at 2 am, with the someone knocking at the door in which I woke up in a dazz and quite shaken. The person then let themselves into the room in which me and my partner weren't fully clothed since it was a hot night. Spoke to them outside the room and claimed there was commotion and others knocking on the doors and asked if I our door had been knocked on, which it hadn't till them. The room still had objects from the previous person that stayed and glasses from the downstairs pub.

Rare horrible experience - should be blacklisted

Items mentioned in the listing such as television and blow dryer were missing . Really poor customer service . Entry glass door was broken at the hotel.They asked for a deposit against TV that was non existent in the rooms. Also it was not listed that they ll need a deposit . Further they kept the deposit saying you are 5 minutes late for checkout. Looks like they are Upto conning customers and should really be banned from booking.com

It was cheap, the beds were sleepable

No tea coffee but kettle, took 20 mins to get the right room, stained sheets, no towels, photos on booking.com are very outdated, drug den, fights in the bar, no police called, shouting outside until 2am the list is endless

Very scary bad locks on doors and lots of drunk people sat at the front door

It’s being used as what I can see has half way house and in pictures on website shows lovely bar and pool table the place is so run down I asked a girl on reception to put a cool block in there freezer so I had cold drinks when out next day they didn’t have a fridge or freezer in the the full hotel

The lack of curtains and front bath panel in the first room. The second room had no towels and only one pillow on the double bed and one on the single. However, the biggest problem was that the bed was in fact broken completely at the bottom right side. Surely this is the most important thing for a hotel to get right! When reported to the receptionist she replied "I'm fed up reporting this". So the room was booked and they knew full well of this major problem. We tried informing Booking.com but just getting autobot replies. No towels were ever delivered to our room but luckily I saw the store room was open and helped ourselves. So avoid like the plague, as it truly is the pits.
