The WiFi was very slow and the mobile reception was also slow so that I could not work

Good breakfast. Nice rooms. Friendly staff.

There was not heating in our room and it got too cold and we had to ask for a portable heater.

Breakfast was good. You have a special entry for Aqua Basilea. Public transport is well-connected to the centre of Basel. For instance, you can pick up the Train 14 (7 min walking) which leave you in front of the Christmas Market.

You need to pay for many extras, parking is not included, discount for AquaBasilea is just 10Fr(you need to pay for the whole day, even if you enter just for a couple of hours). The hotel don't have service room.We have booked two camera because we were 5 people (2 adults and 3 children) but the rooms were not next to the other.

The location is great. Right next to Aquabasilea, train station and highway.The staff was always helpful and friendly.

The hotel is amazing value for money and it’s really a special treat to get the sauna park experience and sleep in the soft cloud like beds and quiet dark rooms … I did two nights in a row and two sauna days and I feel like it was a mini wellness retreat. The hotel also smells good and all the staff are absolutely top.

Not impressive for money paid and location.

We booked for 3 travelers and they didn't include a third bed. When requested for a 5 yr old they put a baby cot. Our daughter could not sleep in it. Only instant coffee for that high price of 200 per night. Lump of dirt found in corner of room. Sink would not drain properly. For all this they just have us free parking which should have been included anyway for auch a poor location.

- no complementary water in the room! Must be bought downstairs- food needs to be picked up from restaurant, no service- WiFi in rooms always very weak (stayed in 3 different rooms/occasions)- streaming on TV only with additional app, complicated and additional cost may apply.

We have stayed at the Courtyard many times, and it is always perfect. They had a special attention for our son’s birthday, which was very thoughtful. They arranged spacious connecting rooms for our family. Friendly and helpful staff. Spotless facilities.

Restaurant service was a bit slow, but the staff was also very nice.

I always love to stay here but since the renovations it’s even better. I love to go to the sauna park and it’s nice that you offer the discounted all-day pass.

The only thing is that I had to catch a train and there was only one desk attendant and the other one was filing stuff so there was a group and I had to leave the key and go. I didn’t even get to sign the sauna park pass off my room and get confirmation that the rest of my deposit would be returned. Make sure to have a few staff there it’s really hard if you go by train to wait and wait.

I had to wait 20 minutes to check in. The guests in front of me were very slow. When they were gone, the staff member answered the phone. The guest behind me was starting to get aggressive towards me in the queue. The staff member was distant and unapologetic. The rooms are poorly soundproofed. I could hear the TV of my neighbour until 11PM, and then his snores resonated through my room all night. The hotel is overpriced for what it offers.

It’s renovated. Been coming here for years to enjoy Aqua Basilea but now it’s even better and fresher. Staff are impeccable as always.

Sadly the cleaning staff left our room used somehow … bed was made but refuse around and dirty toilet. BUT the reception was very swift to have it taken care of so it was minor in the end.

Easy to reach

“Wait to be seated” takes forever!In the morning & evening it’s better to take a seat instead of waiting.

Beds were big and comfortable. Everything went smoothly. Great location, clean and super comfortable.

Make sure you hang the “Do not disturb” sign on the door unless you want someone opening the door on you at 9am ?

Loudspeaker in corridor won‘t let you sleep through night

Worst stay ever. Usually a good place to stay overnight when on business. There is music through the loudspeakers on the corridor all night.Won‘t let you sleep. It is not possible for reception to shut it off. How incompetent! Make sure, they can handle their loudspeakers when you check in or your sleep will be disturbed.

Breakfast was great, also the location of the hotel is super. On one side, next to water park and on the other side, 20 mins from Basel city by public transport, which is free during your stay
