The room was clean and welcoming. They even had Welcome Erin on the television. I felt that was a nice touch. Also we had been traveling for 2 days by car, I was feeling unwell and even though we arrived right as the kitchen closed, they made some toast.
Exceptionally friendly staff and a warm welcome. Val in the bar area and Chef were very attentive and friendly. Great room plan, spacious and very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

This was our 3rd visit and will be our last at that hotel. The manger attached me verbally. Wanting to tell me the difference between a service animal and a ESA animal. It was just terrible

No hot water, Internet wouldn¿t work, room door handle broken, tv cut in and out. Combo with a residence inn as well. Horrible experience.
After long day on the road it was nice to find a hotel with actual food service. :). Woman working the Bistro was great, friendly and cheerful, even at 9:30 at night.

Morning staff were proficient.
The wait staff in the restaurant was just awesome. I don't recall super nice lady name that works at night, but hotel employees in the morning are the main reason I come back to this hotel. And I tell all my friends about the place. Good people work here!

Top Tips
- Stay within 3 miles (4.8 km) of Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) Gate 8/11 to shorten your commute to 10-15 minutes, saving up to 30-60 minutes daily compared to I-95/Belcamp-area hotels. Check if your hotel offers a free weekday shuttle to APG gates for added convenience.
- Ask for the hotel’s government or military rate, or request a rate at the GSA per diem for the Baltimore area; this typically offers lower nightly rates for eligible guests. Bring government or military ID at check-in to qualify.
- Secure weekday (Mon-Thu) bookings at least 7-14 days in advance, as APG’s high demand often raises rates by 10-30% closer to arrival. Booking early or considering weekend stays can reduce costs.
- Connect to Baltimore or regional destinations via Aberdeen Station (MARC Penn Line or Amtrak); taxi or Uber rides from Edgewood hotels take 10-20 minutes. Check train schedules in advance, and request ADA-accessible vehicles if needed.
- Plan 40-75 minutes for the drive to Baltimore/Washington International (BWI), as I-95/I-695 can add major delays during rush hours. Monitor live traffic before departure and add extra time for early morning or late-afternoon flights.
- Choose hotels with free on-site parking to avoid daily fees of $15-20, saving $30-80 on a multi-night stay. Check in advance if accessible parking is available during booking if needed.
- Check Aberdeen Proving Ground (apg.army.mil) for updated base and visitor vehicle access rules before booking; requirements may differ based on your visitor status. Advance verification avoids denied entry and processing delays.
- Ask for a room away from US-40 (Pulaski Highway) or MD-24, ideally at the rear or on an upper floor, to minimize road noise. If you require an accessible room, specify your needs at booking for best assignment.
