    Pros +

    • Nicely renovated old farm house, cosy ambiance
    • Impeccable style, cleanliness and hospitality. The room, food, wine list, staff, linens, delicious air and hikes, all provided us with a 5 star experience that was also relaxed and welcoming. We’re still talking about our stay weeks after returning home from our month long exploration through France and Switzerland- a hidden gem- and actually liked it better than a Michelin star spot we visited shortly afterward. Thank you Le Tillau for such a lovely stay!!
    • Dinner was amazing Large and comfortable room Electric car charger

    Cons -

    • An earlier notification about reservation for dinner should be given, before finalizing the room reservation. I was informed only a few hours after my non-refundable reservation that the restaurant was fully booked. Hence I had to drive out again to find a restaurant in a rather rural environment, with few options. Besides, access to the hotel is through a long and narrow mountain road, well kept but not lit.I would have organized my trip differently if I had known beforehand. The hotel staff did not make any effort to compensate this mishap, regretably.
    • Not a thing to complain about here.
    • Under staffed and poorly trained No proactive service Not given the room we had bookedSynthetic pillows and duvetElectric fires that spoilt the ambiance Wrong food and wrong wine served

Wonderful small hotel on the high in the Jura. Fantastic, friendly, and helpful staff. Beautiful area to walk with my dog as well. Dinner at the hotel is excellent…the venison was so good I had it two nights in a row! Will definitely return!

Very nice quiet place, a little bit remote, with beautiful surroundings and view. Super friendly staff. We had a dinner outside overlooking the meadows while the sun was setting. Limited menu options, but very nice quality. And really, everyone was so friendly and welcoming.

Amazing place right on the GTJ route. Extremely clean. Welcoming and lovely staff. Our room was cozy and elegant. Very good breakfasts, absolutely perfect dinners. We celebrated my husband's birthday here and it was a great choice. We will definitely come back here again.

Ultra peaceful location in the Jura, very nice place, full of wood, nice terrasses, great food and staff. Free e-vehicule charging.

No sure it is a drawback: very secluded. Make sure your satnav has the right coordinates ?

Le Tillau is a gem - both comfortably modern, but with a traditional charm. The service in the restaurant was impeccable; indeed all of h the he staff were friendly and helpful.

    There was nothing to dislike!

The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke English. Parking for motorcycles was good but no garage. Quiet location with great views of the countryside and wildlife.

Limited menu which could be a problem if staying more than a couple of nights. The chef/kitchen were unable to supply and fried potatoes to accompany our steak or lamb dishes (should not be that hard to do).

A rare find in the Jura, location perfect, hotel small, friendly, delicious food and excellent young friendly staff.

Simply perfect: Beautiful room. Very clean. Friendly staff. Excellent dinner.

Le Tillau is a hidden gem with a fabulous restaurant. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are very clean and stylish, and the location is peaceful. We will stay again to visit some of the attractions in the area.

Excellent hotel, friendly and attentive staff, fantastic and quiet rooms, ‚digital‘ bathroom which is quite interesting but works flawlessly, cosy outdoor seating to have a drink or two, good breakfast.

    Nothing to complain about

Staff were exceptional - unfailingly friendly, helpful and polite. The location - isolated and quiet -was just what we wanted. The whole hotel was extremely clean and the decor pleasant and rustic.

The hotel has, at considerable expense, installed electronic controls for the water and lighting. These are fiddly to operate, not terribly flexible, and in no way improve on light switches and water faucets. Breakfast was meagre and disappointing. Dinner, while well cooked and presented, was not matched by the wine list which showed numerous out-of-stock items. The room was not comfortable being furnished with a tiny wardrobe for two people, and one hard-backed wooden chair at a desk-cum-table. The bed, however, was very comfortable. The water controls in the bathroom and shower were not terribly functional, the basin was tiny, and the stand on which the basin sat had almost no room for a guest's own toiletries.

    10LauraPosted on: 7-7-2021

The rooms were very confortable and charming. Staff extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast was delicious, exceptional I would say, with many choices, recently done pastry. Dinner was excellent, with original and very tasteful dishes, this is a must if spending the night here. The location was perfect for nice hikes and for enjoying le Doubs.

The hearing of a plague from the wood at night. Very subtle, I am a not good sleeper. I guess the wood should be treated for this problem at some point.

A true gem - and a very positive surprise. The location is amazingly nestled in the surroundings but most noteworthy is the super relaxed and friendly staff. Loved and will come back
