About
Set within a 12th-century mansion, the hotel is located in the historical center of Siena, near the cathedral and Piazza del Campo, and features spectacular views over the surrounding Sienese Hills. Restored on the old foundations in 1726, with the façade in the Renaissance style, the hotel has completely refurbished in order to offer you a fusion of modern comforts and historic surroundings, with some traces of the past still visible in the wooden beams and the brickwork in the breakfast room. On the terrace, above the Sienese roofs, you can enjoy total relaxation, immersed in the romantic atmosphere of the Medieval town, in Tuscany, one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. Free WiFi is provided throughout, together with free parking for bikes.

Wonderful location and great value for the price. The hotel let us park our bikes in the garage and gave us a safe place to keep them. They were very friendly and the hotel provided a great breakfast with many options and friendly service
The hotel met our expectations and the breakfast was very good.
The only issue is the we stayed in rooms 51-52 that were at the top of the facility unreachable by the elevator. It required us to take elevator to the first floor, walk a hallway to the stairs that were not a straight shot. We had large bags that were difficult to carry up and down.
Good service. Polite staff.
The bathroom was not user friendly. The shower was not in a cabin and all waters run to the whole area
Hotel is well situated and easy walking distances to the Duomo, Via Citta, Il Campo and other historical sites of interest, great restaurants and osteria's. Breakfast was very typical Italian. Sweets, boiled eggs, fruit etc. The reception staff, morning and afternoon were extremely friendly and helpful. They made an advance osteria reservation for me after a very long travel day and late afternoon arrival, which was welcomed. The location is pretty quiet.
Great location. Wonderful breakfast to start off the day.
Uncomfortable beds. Our large room & bathroom had no window that gave outside light or air (fixed/closed shutter). No kettle to boil water for tea/coffee.
The staff is excellent and so is the breakfast. We did enjoy our stay and thought the value was fair for the location.
Hotel is a bit dated and the bed is hard. .
The location is perfect - in the heart of old town. Breakfast was excellent. The communication with the hotel staff long before our stay was excellent - they sent to us very detailed instructions how to reach the hotel by our car without infringing the regulations of the ZTL.. We received an excellent service of valet parking for our car.
The staff was great and available. They parked our car overnight for $30 euros although self parking was slightly less. There breakfast was good and it is right in the heart of Siena, just a short (but sometimes steep) walk to the Cathedral /Duomo and Municipal center (where the horse races are).
Staff and location
You can hear everything between the rooms.the walls are like paper and I heard people from the next room as if they were talking inside my room.Television wasn't working and the pillows were very hard and not comfortable.
The location is very close to everything
The apartment is quite old and the arrangement with stairs inside it was not very comfortable
Sergio was very helpful and kind. We were very fortunate to be in the Contrada that held a parade passing by our hotel and to the town square. The view from our room was amazing! We could see the Duomo from our room.
We were happy with most things but the carpeting and the furniture needed to be repaired.
The hotel was charming, in an excellent location, also quiet. The staff were always ready to help, courteous and friendly. The room was perfect. The breakfast - absolutely superb, with a lovely variety of fresh fruit, cereals, preserves, cheeses and meats, also cakes and pastries and - not forgetting the amazing local gastronomic delight that is panforte!
Unbelievable views! Great location, quiet. Good breakfast. Air conditioning.
No complaints
Location was good
The air conditioning barely did anything. We had a tough 2 nights sleeping due to the heat. There was literally a hole in the floor. The fridge barely kept anything cold. They said that we could find parking in a gravel area, but that area had ma. 20 spots for that whole side of Siena. I don’t see how there would ever be parking available. So, plan on paying Yu’s parking garage fee. The first reception person made no mention of their $10 validation even after we had a long talk about parking. Only on checkout did the other reception person mention the $10 validation.
Staff was very polite, helpful, easygoing, and spoke perfect English. Superb instructions for car parking, and detailed Instructions how to pass all tiny streets by car I really enjoyed this help, all was very easy and super convenient, I really appreciate it! ❤️
Excellent location!! All taxi drivers knew exactly where the hotel was so it was no mystery to get there to/from the train station. The front desk called our taxi when we needed to go back. There is such a cute restaurant across the little street. It is so charming and walkable to everything. Really an excellent location! Plus-there is an elevator! :)
The room had a view of the green garden and the Duoma which was a plus. However room required going up 27 steps which fine except for bringing up/down the steps. Hotel staffs handled this minor inconvenience.Location was excellent with its proximity to areas of interest. Excellent restaurant were plentiful nearbyStaff particularly Tony was very welcoming and helpful.
The carpet is worn out. If changed soon, it will help reinforce that they pay attention to run down facilities
