Hotel Belvedere Di San Leonino

I found this place 5 years ago driving through the area. The hotel and grounds were breathtaking just driving by. I wrote the name of it in my iPhone notes hoping someday I would be back in the area and could stay there. Belvedere did not disappoint. The before arrival communication was top notch. They arranged for early arrival, cooking class and dinner reservations. The unique rooms and grounds are absolutely magical. We could have stayed here our entire trip and would have not regretted it. The STAFF…. absolutely amazing. The welcome charm went throughout the day. I highly recommend the cooking class. We learned and laughed and ate. We were entertained from start to finish. Then it was our turn to entertain our host staff. Tom, a magician, went to work! They were amazed and stunned and laughed so hard we all laughed. We felt like family in just 1 day. Thank you for the amazing stay and memories. We will return and not worry about any sights, we will just relax and enjoy.

Beautiful, quiet hotel that was perfect for exploring Tuscany. The staff and restaurant were top notch.

I have no complaints.

I only stay for one night, but I was absolutely delighted my expectations were even exceeded! beautiful sunset at dinner time nice and clean room.

Great breakfast, views and pool.

The hotel is lying on the top of the hill with gorgeous views and a sunset do die for! There are outdoor seating groups facing all directions from this hotel. The pool was clean and of perfect size.But the very best thing about this place is the people, all the way from the receptionist, the ladies handling the amazing breakfast, the most attentive and pleasant waiters and the chefs which cooks some of the greatest food of Italy!We could recommend this place enough, we will come back. 5 days was not enough, but I think we would have that feeling no matter how many days we would have spent here.

This is a very special hotel with a great setting. The views of the countryside are incroyable. The reception was great. Nadia showed us our room and arranged for dinner at the hotel. Our room was large, very clean, bed comfortable, the AC and internet were excellent. The pool was great and very clean. The restaurant was excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We hated to leave and we will definitely return.

Lovely property, great space, great views. Large room, comfortable bed. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast with patio view. Amazing restaurant. It’s a hidden gem, really.

Our room was close to the kitchen, so we could hear some noise late in the evening and early in the morning. Other than that, it was a perfect stay.

The grounds and landscaping were so beautiful, the sunset views, the food was all fantastic and the location.

We could hear quite a bit of noise in our room from the rooms above and they were also doing construction work on the vines right in front of the property when we were there so there was the day noise of the bob cats/heavy machinery

We felt like in a movie, Chianti is unbelievable. The room was very comfortable and clean, everything was taken care of into details, great breakfast, great dinner at the restaurant. Really lovely. We also enjoyed a lot the shared areas of the place and the view from every angle.

Perfect location and such a beautiful place to stay. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our meal in the restaurant. Will come back here.

Best staff. They were all super helpful and friendly. They even tried teaching me a little bit of Italian so I could order my taxi at 5am (because the front desk is closed at that time). Very relaxing time. We got a free mini wine tasting. The restaurant was excellent as well. The truffle ravioli is a must. Thank you to each staff member. All were very attentive and ready to help with whatever!

All of Tuscany requires a car to get around. We didn't have one.

Do you know those scenes from famous movies in tuscany of people living slow life? Wearing old school clothes? With vintage cars and surrounded by grape fields? Yes!! It is literally this place! We could believe that we’re in one of these places .. the views are amazing, breakfast is greaaat, dinner is also very good, staff is friendly and welcoming. I got no other words to describe the beauty of the place!

Literally NOTHING!

The property was good, the pool area and garden were very nice and breakfast was great. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was exceptional.

The room was over priced, we had friends stay at the same time in a different room and they paid 1/3 of the price which we couldn’t work out why. There was mould on the bathroom floating floor boards.

Great position, lovely staff.

Smoking around restaurants! (It’s a European thing)
