We had a good stay here, the room is comfortable, the buffet breakfast was amazing, the staff is helpful… the only downside is the location if you don’t have a car… there’s a supermarket, a ATM and a restaurant nearby, which is good, the bus stop to Siena center is in front of the hotel, but the last bus is 20pm, so if you stay in the city at night you have to come back in a dark street with no side walk, kind of dangerous

Pretty standard little hotel. We were lucky and got the last parking spot across the street. They have a wonderful breakfast in the morning.

We enjoyed the pool as the weather was perfect for it. Room was small but clean. The light breakfast was an added plus.Check in receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

It is located outside of the main city. We had to take a bus to and from as taxis never answered the phone. Check out receptionist was not very helpful.

Super clean, lovely staff, great pool, excellent breakfast.

The pool was great on a very hot day.

Nothing else about this stay was okay. The hotel room as well as the entire neighborhood smell like a combination of trash and sewer. The beds were rock hard and springy, our towels were wet when we got there and I didn't feel comfortable asking the surly desk clerk for anything as she wasn't welcoming, the shower flooded the entire bathroom. We were placed next to the kitchen so from very early in the morning until 10:30 we were startled awake by crashing and banging dishes. That room shouldn't ever be occupied by guests. Horrible stay all around.

The staff was very friendly. Gave good recommendations for restaurants, and watched my bag after I checked out but before I left the city.

The room was a little loud, even with the windows and shutters shut.

They said in Booking that there is a sauna and jacuzzi. In reality, there wasn't. The pictures about the wellness uploaded to Booking were not in the hotel. The room was dirty and cold as others also wrote it in the feedbacks. The receptionist was rude, lying and offensive. I am deeply disappointed. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, I will never return.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Good breakfast. Very convenient location, next to the bus station. Rooms were big enough and clean. Also the area with swimming pool is nice for relaxation.

The only thing I was missing was some cups for water and maybe electric kettle in the room.

A great budget hotel, clean, large comfortable bed, a fabulous authentic restaurant 5 mins walk away and a short hop into the centre of Siena from the bus stop right outside. Room cleaned every day.Lovely friendly and helpful staff. A great base for a trip to Siena. There’s also a pool area but we didn’t use it as only there for 2 nights. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Siena.

Nothing. There was some traffic noise from our room but it didn’t bother us.

Let me start this review by saying that I do not habitually leave negative reviews nor do I take pleasure in doing so.I stayed at Hotel La Colonna on 12th September 2024 for one night alongside my friend. We booked a twin room (no 108) through booking.com.On arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by a female staff member at reception who explained the amenities and answered any queries to the best of her ability.We took the lift to the first floor and were shocked when the doors opened. The carpet on the landing was absolutely filthy. I appreciate there will be a lot of foot traffic in this area, however this carpet has evidently never been cleaned.The room did not meet even a basic standard of cleanliness. There were dead bugs on the floor underneath the window and dust covering every surface. The toilet had a seal covering the seat suggesting it had been cleaned before our arrival, it had not!When leaving the hotel that evening to have dinner in Siena, we asked the reception staff to contact a taxi for us (there is a bus stop nearby however 2 busses passed us whilst we were waiting and there was torrential rain). The staff member made us feel like this was a huge ask, and after she attempted one phone call, told us the line was busy and it was not possible, leaving us to organise ourselves.On our return to the hotel later that evening, we discovered hundreds of ants in the room, crawling on the floor between the two beds and underneath the window. The room has no kitchen area and there was no unopened food brought into the room by us.Again, we were forced to contact reception to highlight this. The staff member from reception came to the room and was totally uninterested. Whilst she was in the room, we highlighted our other issues regarding the general cleanliness. She advised that there were no rooms available for us to move and suggested spraying bug spray on the floor.

Passable

The structure looked much nicer in the photos than in person. The main attraction--the pool-- was small, run down, and mildewy. Close enough to Siena centro if you have a car. However, not very good value for the price

Tile around the pool very slippery. My husband had a fall. Be careful of the open windows in room as hit our head trice.

Great location for public transport into city centre.Excellent free parking.Great swimming pool/area

Room 203 at the front of the hotel was very noisy as it overlooked the busy road into Siena and the shutters did not close.
