- The property was amazing! We loved the beautiful gardens and the peace and quiet. Our room was very nice and overlooked the rose garden. The staff was very friendly, and the food was very good at breakfast and dinner.
- Incredible gardens and grounds, a variety of spots to sit outdoors, smell the lemon tree blossoms, watch the sun set over lassic Tuscan landscape. Lovely indoor spots to linger as the evening cools.
Cons -
- All good
- We chose this hotel because it has an outdoor pool, but they closed it for the season a day after we arrived, so I only got one swim. It was sunny and warm mid-October, I was very disappointed. If the pool won't be available it should say so on their site.
- Very isolated, no restaurants or shops within easy walking distance Very steep driveway up to property from car park. Breakfast very poor, only one member of staff trying to do everything. Poor selection and at 09.00 very little food leftClassic room in annexe, up steps, bathroom downstairs along with small sofa and TV. Bed on mezzanine floor, very dark and claustrophobic. Upgraded to room in main villa which was much nicer.

Setting
Property need updating, painting and outdoor need power washing . Water in the shower was barely hot enough to shower.
Staff were helpful, kind and fun.
I booked two rooms for myself and my brother’s family- our air conditionibg was amazing while their’s was not.
The breakfast was wonderful, lots of fresh fruit, great selection of juices, loved the kiwi juice! The staff was very helpful, the breakfast room was nice with nice linens and dishware. The croissants, pastries were delicious and fresh eggs were an added bonus. The grounds are amazing, very relaxing, the gardens are very lovely, I did not have time to go to the pool, but it looked inviting. The bar area was nice and made us a great Negroni. Our room was great, very large room and I liked all the antique furnishings. loved the pretty ceiling.
could of had conditioner for your hair in the bathroom. They only had a combined body wash and shampoo.
We have stayed here perhaps half a dozen times since 1974 for our first wedding anniversary. Love the comfort, the elegance, the beautiful gardens, and the generous breakfast. The staff is attentive.
It was a practical yet elegant and comfortable stay. Had old world charm with professional and friendly staff no request was too much trouble.
We liked it all.
Nice historical villa with pretty gardens.Friendly staff.Close to historical Siena.
The restaurant is very bad quality. Even worse considering the prices charged for the terrible food.
Very nice location that offers different areas in the large garden to relax and to have a quiet place for your own.The personell is taking care of guests in a very friendly manner, a pleasure to be there !Public transportation to Siena city centre is just outside the hotel and perfect.
The breakfast was great but could have more variety. Location and the premises was amazing. Lots of places in the gardens to relax, have coffee or a drink. Very romantic with beautiful scenary of the town, nature and the gardens
Did not like the 2 level room given to us.
Beautiful grounds and friendly staff
Entrance was difficult to maneuver from the direction i was traveling
Fantastic view and nice to be outside the city buzz
We wanted three glasses different wines, even though there were bottles open, they insisted on that we choose the same or pay for the whole bottle. Luckily the Manager walked by and said ”it’s ok”.
The location was lovely outside Siena and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. We had booked a room in the annexe which we didn’t care for but when we requested an upgrade in the main building it was very efficiently dealt with. We were there for two nights and it was easy to get either the 3 or the 8 bus into Siena. Just don’t rely on taxis to get back to the hotel especially if it’s raining! Dinner in the restaurant was good.
There wasn’t much at all to dislike about the hotel and we enjoyed our stay but there were a couple of things that should be noted about the bathroom in Room 29 which we SHOULD have mentioned to staff but kept forgetting. 1. Magnifier mirror was loose on the wall and made it unusable 2. Pedal bin broken 3. One of the light bulbs in the ceiling was out4. No shower in bathroom … just a shower over the bath and we found the surface of the bath very slippy which we felt was a health and safety issue. A plastic mat would have made this safer.
Out of town, space to come back from Sienna and relax
All the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. They all made us feel very welcome. The restaurant food was very good and reflected on the local foods produced here.
Everything was good.
Friendly staff and everything available.Evening meal was good with good service and bar staff good
Had to wait quite a while for a coffee at breakfast time as not enough staff to cater.
The staff are so friendly, the settling is totally romantic. A short distance from the city and you are in total tranquility.
Coffee making facilities in the room
Quiet and pretty with a very lovely pool and charming staff. An easy bus into Siena, and well located to explore the rest of Tuscany in a car! Room very clean and quiet at night, with good air conditioning.
The walls were a tad thin... and the casual lunch menu could have been a little better. Would have been nice to have a small bite to eat menu throughout the day as there aren't many places near and they don't allow other food on the property. But the food we had was very nice.
