Pros +
- Hotel employee was an excellent host! We loved the beautiful harmony of the historic mansion and the character of our rooms with modern convenience. The location was perfect! We were able to walk to the historic town centre. Spectacular views!
- I loved the hotel! A building from 1825, but super well-maintained and very charming! The view is incredible. The room was well organized and clean and the staff was super attentive and kind at all times! Although the hotel wasn't super close to the entrance gate, we walked there every day and ended up not using the car.
- The view from mt room looked more like a painting than a real scene. It was stunning. The woman who organizes the breakfast was very sweet, and the two managers were so warm and kind. Very spacious room and comfortable bed.
Cons -
- We chose this hotel because we were coming from Florence by car and needed a place with parking. And we loved everything! No regrets! However, walking every day to the historic centre is quite tiring, especially at the end of the day, when you've already walked a lot.
- I walked into Siena both nights of my stay. It only takes about 20 minutes to walk in but it isn't the most pleasant walk: narrow or non-existent sidewalks in some places and all a steady but gradual uphill to get into the city. But it was convenient to leave the car and not worry about trying to park in the city itsefl
- No complaints at all.

Lorenzo and our beautiful room!We were on the ground level and everything was so convenient. And opening the French windows gave you a Tuscan view that was like a painting during the day and looked like shimmering diamonds in the evening. Breakfast was delicious and in a lovely room. A perfect way to start the day. The reception area is so charming and welcoming. A bus nearby or the taxi service make everything convenient. The hospital museum in the historic center is not to be missed. You will lose yourself in another time and be overwhelmed by beauty. But in the end, it is Lorenzo who made everything in Siena sweeter and kinder and perfect. Grazie mille, Lorenzo!
Great stay with the best staff you could ask for! Giant room & bathroom, nice breakfast and the BEST view in Siena! This is the best place to stay if you want a peaceful, comfortable stay with a beautiful view all day & all night!
. The room was beautiful and very clean. The breakfasts were delicious. All personell were friendly and helpful. The owner arranged a private tour of three wineries which was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. We would definitely return.
No complaints at all.
Lorenzo checked us in and answered all of our questions, which were many. The property is beautiful and impeccably maintained. All of the staff was kind and professional.
A wonderful though all too short stay at the palazzo Di Valli. Giacomo and Lorenzo made us feel at home from check in to check out. I highly recommend you stay at this beautiful property. The location was also a plus being just outside of the city walls and a short walk to the piazza del campo.
Easy walk to historic town, yet in a peaceful quiet area. Large patio overlooking the rolling terrain, nice breakfast and REALLY nice people running the hotel
The Villa was superb, location just a walk from the main oldtown of Siena and a short drive from the Chianti and Tuscan wine regions. A great variety of food options in Siena, we enjoyed a superb breakfast daily and the hosts were very helpful with recommendations for trips to the local wineries and restaurants. We had a great stay.
Maybe the lack of air-conditioning.
Location and building were great.
Our room was a little small but cosy
The most stunning view. ever. worth it. Large rooms, nice beds. All a bit old, but well maintained. The breakfast with the view is to die for. Did I mention the view?
We only stayed two nights in this beautiful hotel and everything was perfect—from the delicious breakfast and beautifully decorated rooms to the peaceful terrace and fantastic location. It was just a short walk from the city center
The view was phenominal , able to see the hills of Siena. Breakfast was wonderful, a variety ans perfect selection of items. We were able to eat breakfast outside and enjoy the view even more. If you are traveling and want to stay in Siena, this is the place for you. Would definitely go back and stay here.
Absolutely no complaints, everything was perfect
The view of the hotel is the best! As an ancient building the room is surprisingly morden and comfortable. The town is within walking distance and can also be reached by taking a bus just outside the hotel.
What an absolutely dream-like property. This villa has views to die for-- overlooking the countryside for miles and miles. Located within walking distance of downtown Siena, this property is also far enough away from the busyness of the town center that it is mellow at night. The staff is gracious and welcoming and accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel.
I wanted a memorable stay in a Tuscan villa and Hotel Palazzo di Valli provided everything I desired! The views from the hotel were incredibly beautiful, the room was spacious and elegant, and the breakfast was outstanding! We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio looking out over the spectacular view. We enjoyed the short walk to the enchanting and historic Siena and couldn’t ask for a better stay! We hope to return someday for a future visit.
We enjoyed everything about the property!
Rooms and receptions area nice. Breakfast great. Staff wonderful and helpful
Need mattress cover on mattress. It was very hard and I did not sleep well. Also outside grounds are in need of landscaping. Weeds everywhere and grass 1 foot high
Up on the hill just outside of the city wall but close enough to get downtown by for our bus, amazing view, Giacomo treated me like a queen, the food was delicious!
Nothing!
This is a beautiful villa only 10 minutes from town. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. The best part of this stay was our host who was so nice and very helpful with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.
