    • To my pleasant surprise, this is an actual palace that has been transformed into a modern boutique hotel. The room was spacious and spotless, featuring a charming alcove that serves perfectly as a study. While the breakfast was great, the highlight was undoubtedly the staff. They were some of the friendliest people I met on my trip, always willing to help and strike up a conversation. Siena is beautiful, and this hotel fits right in. I definitely plan to return and hope to find the same wonderful team working there.A special thank you to Flavia, Ilaria, Gabriela, Claudio, and Caterina!

Excellent location. Very nice interior. Good breakfast and super nice staff. Not a big deal to get from a parking lot.

Parking is not cheap. So be sure to get a discount QR from hotel staff.

Amazing breakfast, beautiful room, super friendly and helpful staff.

    Location was wonderful.

Parking below city center -- a real challenge. Directions for Americans could have been better.Hotel staff should mention 5 or 6 Escalators up to Siena .

Overall amazing room and building, minus some quirks (below). Fantastic staff. Good breakfast buffet.

Awkward to take a shower in the tub. No hooks to hang towels. The two opposing sinks are too close together to be used simultaneously. No sink to wash hands in the toilet (!). TV small. Couch would benefit from coffee table.

Loved the range of food— the fresh fruit and granola especially.

    Poor lighting in our room.

The hotel is excellent and very clean. The staff are amazing, nice, polite and very supportive. The location is perfect, and the room is spacious compared to other hotels in the same area. All the main tourist attractions are within 5 min walking distance. “Highly recommended”.

Central location but still quiet at night; a receptionist, Frederica, was wonderful - provided restaurant recommendations and then made a reservation for me, and recommended visiting an area that was not on my radar; a heads up about Sienna: There is no longer any real off season so the best restaurants are nearly always booked - call ahead and make dinner and lunch reservations if you have specific restaurants in mind.

The property is really special, a dramatic old palazzo and our room was great. The staff are kind and attentive. Breakfast is among the best we had on our trip and we really enjoyed our stay. The location was convenient to all kind of things we wanted to do.

Fantastic old and authentic building. Very kind staff.

The window in our room didn't close during a rain storm and some of our belongings got wet. The phone call to the reception didn't work. These are details though, it was lovely overall. Very kind and helpful staff, they were a bit nervous with all the work to do. Buon lavoro!

Fantastic location, room, great staff and atmosphere, lovely room.

A little food for thought: you may want to consider working on the lighting, room is a touch too dark.

Terrific location. Close to everything. Great style and decor. The staff is absolutely amazing. They went far above and beyond. Helpful beyond belief. Engaging. Spot on restaurant recommendations. Wonderful breakfast with several vegetarian options.

The property is outstanding. If you drive and have not been to Siena before (like us), trying to navigate the streets and find the parking lot using GPS can be maddening. GPS sent us to the wrong spot. Angela at the hotel literally came to our car a few blocks away, helped us unload our luggage and showed us how to find the parking lot .

Great hotel, large rooms, perfect location and great team of staff members.

    Nothing material.

I absolutely loved this stay. It’s a brilliant hotel, the team are extremely lovely and helpful and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Perfect location to visit Siena.

I enjoyed the serenity. This ancient building made to be accessible and comfortable. The staff made it very easy to communicate, Italian, Spanish and English. Located in an area witch was not in the center, but close enough to get there...quiet.

Lovely old building in a convenient location, helpful staff.

    10NinaPosted on: 6-26-2025

Warm friendly atmosphere. Beautiful views from room. Lovely delicious breakfast. Excellent, helpful staff!

Air conditioning was not as cooling as we would have liked.

    8DianaPosted on: 5-2-2025

    Location. Excellent breakfast.

Nowhere to put anything. Room called a suite but we had to use the (uncomfortable) sofa for clothes.
