    Pros +

    • Great location near Chateau Chenonceau. When we checked in, we were showed room and given some good advice and insights into exploring nearby Chateaus. B
    • Good breakfast included
    • The property was stunning! Wonderful breakfast and restaurant! The service was excellent! Close to Chateau!

    Cons -

    • Breakfast was not worth what we were charged
    • The rooms felt quite tired and in need of renovation. Two out of four towels provided were stained, one with a gray mark and another with a red one. The carpets also looked worn. Breakfast was rather disappointing: the selection was limited, and when items like croissants and water ran out, there were no refills. When we asked for more water, the waiter rolled his eyes, brought it reluctantly, and completely ignored us when we tried to ask for croissants, even while making eye contact. Overall, the breakfast service felt very strange and unfriendly
    • Interior of the hotel is worn and could benefit from a renewal - painting is chipped, wall to wall carpet is stained, and the overall impression is of a hotel that is dated and in need of some light refurbishment.

The hotel is set in a historic building, which could make it a charming place to stay. The receptionist who welcomed us was polite and friendly

Room was very comfortable; one of our rooms was up narrow stairs, so if there are mobility issues, be sure to ask for a room that does not require so many stairs

The restaurant was very good as far as the food went, but it was also very expensive for the area, especially the wine.

The hotel is close to the Chenonceau castel. The staff is gentle, and the room was clean and comfortable. We took the dinner in the restaurant, it was really good. Price are correct for the service delivered.

Nice place. But we had dinner there and for what we paid was not good. My husband’s steak was so tuff he could chew it.

    10PamelaPosted on: 9-26-2024

Restaurant exceptionally good. Comfortable rooms, easy parking and very good breakfast.

    5ChristianPosted on: 9-6-2024

    Nothing exceptional.

Room was small for the money.Toilet was absolutely tiny, I could barely get in. Lots of noise from the road outside, delivery lorries in the early hours to this hotel one over the road.

    Nice location and pleasant staff.

We had to change rooms because there was no hot water in our first room (2). We repacked our cases and moved to room 25 on the second floor where we unpacked again.. A nice room but some of the features (particularly the air conditioning) were looking well past their best.

    10JanePosted on: 7-24-2024

The staff were friendly and helpful, the food at both breakfast and dinner was excellent , the rooms were comfortable and clean and the hotel was wonderfully quiet and relaxing.

    9AlanPosted on: 7-22-2024

Large comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning. The breakfast was good quality. The location was excellent for Chenonceaux; the entrance was probably less than 200 metres away.

The car parking was very tight. We arrived toward the latter part of the evening and found the last space. I think there may have been one or two others arriving after us who might have had to park off-site.

Beautiful hotel with lovely pool and gardens, very close to the amazing Chateau. Friendly staff and very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast and dinner were great too.

Staff moslty very nice and efficient. Restaurant chap needs a bit if work on his customer skills.

Air conditioning was only ok. If it had been hot it just wouldn't have coped.

    9MalcolmPosted on: 6-30-2024

The service was very good and the meals were delicious. The room was exceptionally large and comfortable. I was sorry not to have been able to use the pool because of the weather. The reception staff were very helpful with my many enquiries!

The water from the machine during breakfast, just isn't hot enough for tea. The breakfast restaurant became very busy with too many people serving themselves from 2 separate buffets, one either end of the room. This made breakfast not as relaxing as it should be.

Great location with a beautiful garden and a pool.

Can see the room next door from a second shut bathroom door, didn't think the other was occupied but it was a little strange...

    Location and staff

I booked a twin room: was offered a double roomI was travelling with my sonI had to pay for another room ( that was better and cheaper than the one allocated via Booking.comThe pool was a big feature; it was closedI sent via the web site a notification of gluten free requests which had not been received/ read

Thé garden was lovely and the central village location cannot be beat -fo is also the ample safe off road parking was welcome. The staff were all most friendly and helpful and the restaurant dinner was delicious with local french foods at the forefront of the menu

We were pretty disappointed about the breakfast if we are honest - a must for me is a good coffee in the morning and an over worked multi select your drink machine just didn’t provide it for me -also a distinct lack of cereal choices a disappointment- but I’m not picking and after all the breakfast is optional so if it doesn’t suite you are not forced to have it

Quaint old fashioned hotel with good facilities and secure parking. Excellent dinner and breakfast in the dining room with good ambiance.Within 5 minutes walk to Chateau de Chenonceau which is wonderful to visit. Perhaps the best chateau in the area.
