Adults only; upscale without being stuffy. Excellent breakfast buffet (fresh squeesed oj). Well appointed rooms. Rooftop pool and bar. Spa. Secure parking. Located 5min from marina (to board Benagil Cave by boat tours). Wonderful staff. Well priced.

That we didn't come here straightaway from Lisbon and stay longer. We will return

We were on 3rd floor (water view) rooms and the windows didn't have insulation so it was very noisy from the avenue in front of the hotel. Additionally the pool above was very noisy, we slept with a continuous noise of water.For a hotel that calls itself spa, the spa wasn't included and you didn't have robe or slippers provided. The lady at the spa was nice and accommodating though.The gym is ok but quite small if there are more than 3-4 people.

The inside pool was really expensive and you can only use it for one hour.

Room very small. Problems with plumbing in the room 1st night. Changed room. Not possible to get an higher floor. Reception level, long hall walk.

The SPA is a bit useless as massage is available until 5pm and sauna should be booked beforehand, so we never made it to the spa

Live entertainment - a bit too pub singer for my taste and so loud you can’t have a conversation with your friends of guests without shouting in the bar - spoils a lovely roof top setting and views …

We stayed for 2 days. The power breakdown in Spain/Portugal was handled perfect via generators. Lucky us!

Dirty sock from previous guest was under the bed. Noticed this when leaving room at checkout. So under the bed had not been cleaned for 3 days. No conditioner, haircap, bofylotion in the bathroom during our stay. Coffeemachine did not work.

Faultless hotel everything was perfect, staff are fabulous rooftop area is lovely to relax serving delicious food and cocktails.

Clean and fresh layout, easy to get around and breakfast was great

Staff were great, friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, the Arade rooftop bar was fantastic with views over the river and the city.

Lots of seagulls dipping in the outdoor pool. This was probably worse during our stay as the pool was too cold to swim in at that time of year, and more people around the pool may discourage them in summer months.

Spa, staff, cosy bed

Excellent stay and very impressed with the hotel in general. Would definitely stay there again. The only ‘negative’ was the evening buffet. Definitely one to avoid. Fortunately, we were staying in a b&b basis so only had to endure it once.

Location is in between the medieval section (very quiet in March) and the beach restaurants (very active)

Breakfast had a wide variety of options, and all of quality. For instance, the orange juice was freshly squeezed. Shower and bed were very good as well.

It seems you are sleeping in the middle of the road. Initially it given to us a bedroom just 2 meters away from the road, on the ground floor. We complained and the staff very nicely moved us to a second room, on the second floor, but also facing the road. The noise was unbearable. If it was not for the late hour we would have moved hotels. The hotel is split in two, and the rooms facing the back probably don’t have this issue. But that is only half of the cases. They have dozens of rooms facing the road side. And yes, windows were properly shut. But given that the hotel is literally on top of the road no windows could be good enough.
